We are truly doomed to be the taiwan to turd worldist regimes and movements.
Your optimism is charming, it's going to be way worse than that.

Subhuman cousinfucker threatening people in front of cops.

Good luck, son. You're gonna need it, with your own gov't disarming you.

Welp, after a "reduction in unemployment", Canada has lost an additional 84,000 jobs in February alone. If you read the news, you would know that in December, we lost 35,400 jobs in high-paying sectors like manufacturing. This comes after PM Carney says he's opening the visa routes again since unemployment was 6% in February, including fast-tracking foreign workers in certain sectors like healthcare.

I'm assuming it's the fact the the pieces aren't levitating in thin air because I see nothing else.

Honest question for fellow leafs - especially if you're old: were Canadians always a 'fall in line' kind of people?

I grew up thinking the answer was no. During the 2009 Swine Flu pandemic - which everyone seems to have forgotten - our gov tried a prototype of the COVID playbook; complete with rushed/damaging vaccines, Dr. Fauci cheerleading, and mask protocols - and the whole thing fell flat on its face for all the normal sensible reasons it should have. But ten years later for Covid the same playbook worked flawlessly. Presumably because of social media and smartphones so effectively enthralling the normies.

Yes. As far back as I remember (in Ontario, the most evil province except maybe Quebec), everyone trusted the government and always followed their demands. It's a spineless, obedient culture up here.

As an albertan, the way people thought and behaved in Ontario completely revealed why Canada is so fucked and why Alberta would be better off on our own.

I was out there for the 1995 Quebec referendum. I actually had to explain to a UWO Poli-Sci major that the true reason there was such a campaign in Ontario to try to encourage Quebec to stay was solely to preserve the traditional Laurentian power base, and that Quebec was a net drain on the country.
