The suspect in a fatal library shooting in California on Monday has been identified as 18-year-old Bradley Scott Sayer of Chico, according to officers.

The Chico Police Department said Sayer opened fire in the Butte County Library around 5:12 p.m. on Monday, killing two people and injuring a minor. The injured minor was being treated at hospital Tuesday, and is expected to recover.
Sayer was taken into custody only moments after the first shots were fired. He was booked into the Butte County Jail for two open counts of murder.
An investigation into Monday’s shooting determined that Sayer acted alone and aimed to “commit a Columbine High School massacre type of shooting,” police said. CPD said there was no indication he had any prior relationship or connection to any of the victims in the library.
The FBI confirmed early Tuesday morning that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their families,” reads a statement from the agency. “FBI Sacramento will continue to support the Chico Police Department as their investigation continues.”
Library officials sent their condolences to those affected by the shooting in a statement on social media Monday night.
“We are aware of the tragic incident that occurred today at the Chico Branch of the Butte County Library and extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected, including the victims, their loved ones, library staff, and all those impacted by this heartbreaking incident,” the post said.
The library will remained closed Tuesday as the Chico Police Department, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation continue to investigate the shooting.

The family sued about it, and I think failed. It was a kid who had gotten all the way out of the building and was running downhill when he was shot from in front and below, the direction of responding officers, when the killers in the building were above and behind him. The police claimed to have never found the bullet even though their story was that it was a close range execution shot down into a prone body and evidence such as clothing that should show powder burns if that story were true was all suppressed.
