It's the joke of the article. The "mysterious letter" is a Smash Bros. invitation, used on trailers to announce characters to be added to the games (for example Joker, Isabelle, Byleth). Wu isn't bringing out video games out of nowhere this time.

It is; it's in-game turnips, which you buy on Sunday and can sell for varying levels of money during the week (you get two price updates per day, and your turnips go bad on Sunday morning the following week). The game references the "stalk market." She isn't smart enough to have come up with that herself.
 
I’m not sure who John is trying to impress here. Anyone who’s interested in speedrunning can google it and see he’s pretty far behind the world record holder. The gap will get even larger as new glitches are discovered. And followers who follow him for political talk could not give less of a shit

John's bragging about this is so lame. People speedrun the Resident Evil 3 Remake on Inferno difficulty and beat John's Standard-difficulty time with no deaths and no saves, something John is incapable of doing in any amount of time, including eternity. Who the hell does he think he's impressing?
