What idiot would openly admit that they didn't work hard enough when they're campaigning for a job? It's like showing up to the job interview and saying "well I didn't really work hard at my last job".

I too was unaware GamerGate happened prior to 1959.
Because that's when the American Nazi Party was founded, pointed to by some as the official "beginning" of organised Neo-Nazi presence in the USA.
Of course, that's strictly in the sense of "America History X" style Neo-Nazis. In a broader sense, "Neo-Nazis" have been around since the fall of the Third Reich, depending on what country we're talking about and in what sense they're "Nazis".
I am uncertain of where a particularly long-winded, pedantic, and wide-spread argument about video games and journalism and some skank banging reviewers fits into Nazi ideology, but it's certainly doesn't predate the concept.

Unless, of course, you're an idiot trying to make a hackneyed point by talking out of your ass.

I'd laugh so hard if she actually does start hiring staff right now for a campaign that's a year and a half away. Got to get those minions, wouldn't want to feel like you're not the important big boss lady.

She's learned absolutely nothing from the past two years. She still thinks the answer to every question is to throw minions at it, when in reality all the strategy and drive has to come from the candidate. What she really ought to be doing right now is attending every possible local democratic meeting, making a proper public facebook page for her political presence and registering people who are interested in not-Lynch in preparation for the actual campaign next year. None of this requires any staff at all.

(Edit: And buying a wardrobe. The One True Politician Dress must go.)

You're quite right, however all of those things are work.
According to literally everyone ever employed by her that we've found, she's not a big fan of work. She enjoys what I refer to as "work culture". It's the concept of work, and all the irritating side bullshit that accompanies actual work.

Best as I can tell from our conversations with @W person cow and associated info from her old GSK people, Brianna is one of those shitty bosses you sometimes have to deal with who conflates "progress reports" and "meetings" with "actually doing things", rather than the first two being a direct obstacle to getting anything done.
She believes that demanding constant updates and micromanaging people is the same as working, and while updates and priorities are necessary, the stories about daily, lengthy, morning meetings to go over "progress" sound to me like someone who enjoys discussing tasks more than finishing them.
Nobody intending to accomplish anything with their day wastes the first 2 hours of it making action lists and arguing about priority. Yes, some tech startups do that, and you'll notice that something like 80% of startups fail within the first 2 years.
GSK being one of them, now that I mention it.

The actual work she needs to do, as you've outlined, is somewhat far-reaching, and requires significant legwork on her part. She was able to get around this in the tech industry by hiring scabs who work for peanuts and then tossing them out the airlock when they'd outlived their use.
In politics, however, there is no such shortcut. You're selling yourself, and that requires you to be present and active. The candidate needs to be putting in more hours than anyone else, not less. We're talking 60 hour weeks, no vacations, because that's what it takes. You want power? You gotta bust your ass.
As they say, politics is a contact sport. You can't win sitting down.

John is also the absolute worst kind of micromanager because he wants to micromanage things he doesn't know shit about, which is pretty much everything. He wants useless "updates" that he is too dumb to understand anyway so it's a waste of time telling him shit that just goes in one ear and out the other with nothing in between the ears to interrupt its smooth passage.
 
Wouldn't be Nazis literal proto-neo-Nazis? So GG is literal Nazis? Well, I saw a video about Hitler being upset with Battlefield V but I'm not sure if it was real. Who knows maybe they lost the war because they played too much FFVII?
 
I wonder if John thinks he can continue doing softball interviews, be given passes by the media, and not have anyone investigate his lies if he were to miraculously pose a serious challenge to Stephen Lynch or win.

Had that feeling just from the brief reading but still, it's pretty rich to have Brianna "moonrock" Wu get condescending on someone who put forth a perfectly reasonable suggestion for how to not be a complete fuckup at politics. Even better that since it's an out trans person, Wu is twitter-bullying a marginalized person.

To be fair, she's only a troon in the sense that Becky Gerber is a troon, i.e. saying she's a man on twitter for oppression points while dressing female and being in a cis-hetero relationship.
