I'm trying to come up with a sadder chyron than "Husband of Brianna Wu." Maybe "Forgot Child in Hot Car," but that's about it.

It says something about the depth of Wu's rolodex though. In the week or so since she learned that telephone begging was an effective way to score cash, she's already worked her way down to people she met once over a buffet table in a crappy little TV studio somewhere. She might as well just start cold calling people at this point.

Edit: Oh my god, I looked up the name of the guy who played Frank. He doesn't look like he's too successful. These are the people Wu is calling to give her money. It'd be sad if it wasn't so funny.

I'm supposed to believe that multiple people were flipping their cars while speeding along icy roads to Wu's house and not just one guy who admitted it was an act? And this is what they use for 1/2 of their examples of harassment?

It's obvious that they did not script this and spent five minutes filming Frank speaking off the cuff, then spent 3 weeks adjusting the lighting to try to make John look less freakish in his 2-second appearance.

EDIT: Oh, and why not show a picture of John protesting? We have a really good one they could have used. :story:

'Integrity' to describe Flu. Yeah right. Anyway, the war in Afghanistan was a response to the worst attack in the country's history. I guess a second take wasn't going to fit in around Frank's needed nap schedule due to his day job.

Keep Stephen Lynch's name out your scallywagging mouth, Frank. I'm not sure the jump scare cut to your mangled gay lover's mug is the way to make people want to vote for John, but it's your campaign, you get to run it anyway you want. (Wait, do those count as famous last words yet? Nah, no one remembers who lost the electoral college 20 years later.)
 
Two minutes of a talking chink head with zero footage or even a still of John doing anything. This scam-paign was announced six months ago and there is not a single microsecond of footage to show for it.

The collective insanity and delusion of these people is truly jaw-dropping. Even if you accept at 100% face value that John is a brave and stunning video game developer who has endured billions of hours of harassment, it beggars belief as to how anyone can still think that this campaign is an actual thing based on this "ad" alone. I'm honestly at a loss for words at how it's possible to live in a complete parallel dimension.

The same way you fight Gamergate with sufficient lunacy that the people who closed ranks around paedophiles disown you, or indeed the way you play football by putting your shorts on your head and kicking the ball into your own net a few dozen times.

I suppose it's also a bit like campaigning by having your biggest backer go on TV to demonstrate that his stellar judgement and foresight led him to marry a heinous, delusional troon.
