Depends of the college and country, at least in my college the pseudo intellectual sperging is limited to our own country affairs while gender studies stuff will be mocked to hell out by teachers that do actual research.

Kern ignored him, and said that Wu is a man publicly to all of his followers, thus setting John on this temper tantrum.

Oh, that thing. Seems pretty cut and dry to me. Here, you got all these clowns like Wu who made a big stink about Nintendo firing this broad because of "gamergate" and "rampant sexisim", but it turns out it was because she was renting out her cooch on craigslist, which regardless of your moral stance on prostitution, is still technically illegal. People even have camera data to prove it was the same broad. Seems like a pretty open and shut case, unless you are somehow immune to facts.
I explained this whole situation to my gf to get her take on if this was sexists and the way she explained it , which I enjoyed, was: "Honestly, if this girl was good at her PR job in the first place, she wouldn't have needed to get a side job as a whore, and if she was a good enough whore, she wouldn't have had to get the job in PR. "

Of course, the main reason people were even paying attention to her was that while supposedly working PR for Nintendo, she did nothing but insult their customers and pick SJW fights with people from the same account she used for real work.
Someone on ice that thin is stupid beyond belief to be doing that.
It's only because gators are so blindingly autistic that they were ignored for months in the first place. Anyone in any other business would have been fired the first time they pulled that shit.

I disagree, for several reasons.
1. Nintendo's infamous for reading shit wrong and for not knowing what its customers want. We've already confirmed this several times during the lead-up to the Rapp debacle, but Nintendo notoriously relied on NOA to tell them what the customer-base wants, and not to its benefit. This has been a truism since the 80s, and it's unlikely to ever really change.
2. The Dina Abou Karam disaster suggests otherwise. That shit hit full train-wreck status long before GG was a thing and Comcept still kept her employed despite the fact that she was another fucking lunatic with no grasp on reality and then proceeded to cost Comcept actual money. Any sane company would have thrown her ass out the door the second she was seen as PR poison for the project.
3. I don't know if you noticed, but there's a pattern with assholes like Rapp and Dina - they don't get where they are legitimately. Rapp got her position through her husband, who she then proceeded to turn into a more pathetic human being than Anthony Burch. Dina got her position through her boyfriend. The list goes on. These people get in despite a lack of qualifications and are often harder to remove because they're going to be protected 0nce there.
4. Gamergate financially crippled Gawker to the tune of "millions," and that's just what Gawker admits to. They did this by contacting advertisers and pointing out the stupid shit Gawker has said and asking if they wanted to be associated with it. Gawker's not the only one targetted in this fashion, but it is the most visible, and advertisers sure as shit didn't care that GG and the Internet Autism Machine was to blame.

This said, Wu's locked herself into a corner and I'm loving this shit.
Rapp painted herself as a victim who suffered because Nintendo minimized her role and eventually fired her because of her being harassed by that mean ol' Gamergate, and not the fact that she was a PR disaster waiting to happen who was engaged in blatant illegality. Wu and friends bought this lie, hook, line, and sinker, and Nintendo handled this correctly.
And now it's blown up in their lap. Fucking glorious.

I guess Bribri Flynt will tell his (diminishing number of) goons that believing these "facts" is a thoughtcrime or something.
But I am looking forward to when this whole thing comes crashing down on him and he goes to Chernobyl-levels of a meltdown. I hope I'll have popcorn available when it happens.

Jesus F. Christ, this is just shameful. Instead of replying with a list of languages, she goes like "you might be setting me up so not gonna answer, fuck you". Of course being Slashdot I assume no one questioned this highly suspicious behavior (I used to read the news there, but it went to hell as soon as they drank that socjus koolaid).
See, game development isn't really a varied universe of languages, it's a bit limited by library and system availability. The easiest, most credible answer would be something like C, C++ and maybe C#/.NET for low-level languages, and something like Lua or Python for high-level ones (note for non-programmers, "low-level" means something closer to final machine code and is harder to learn than high-level, that is more abstracted for ease of use and easier to learn but slower in performance). Then go on about common libraries such as DirectX, OpenGL or SDL.
The thing is that those languages are extremely common and easy to get to. The world of gamedev doesn't go very exotic. A liar can just google a list of languages and get those easy answers in seconds with no risk, or a GitHub user can access this list https://github.com/showcases/programming-languages and just pick some from there.
Let me put stress on this: Wu could have used that answer to reinforce the lie and score some credibility for his story of being a real gamedev, and instead refused to do so just to be a dick. I can't even begin to describe how mind-boggling this is.
