That's standard breadtube fare. It's kind of unbelievable that someone with the cognitive ability to turn on a PC would be so totally incapable of detecting jokes, but some of them do seem pretty genuine. Not breadtube, but I had initially thought that chibireviews was grifting money with his 'kf is sending negroidic rapists to my house!' shit. Then I watched a video response of his and realized he's a semi-moron. Remember, redditors unironically have to end posts with /sneed to indicate that they're joking. They may not be fully autistic, but there's clearly some kind of stunted social/intellectual development that prevents them from understanding what is a joke.

I just had the thought that ending posts with /sneed could be a useful indicator for bots to reply jokingly instead of seriously. I prefer to think that all these people are actual retards though. It's somehow slightly less depressing,

In the original JP version (and some english games where they didn't bother during SNES/gameboy era) The character's name is Catherine with the preferred name listed being a nickname of "cathy". You don't need a video essay breatruber to tell yout his shit it's basic video game trivia that game trivia shit two decades ago covered in a little blurb. The joke in the OG JP one is that this fucking weird thing has a really normal name while the joke in the US version is that it's a tranny with a really retarded preferred name.

She was only a tranny in the earliest one IIRC and they went back on it unless I'm remembering that wrong.

Birdo/catherine was a tranny fromt he getgo in both US and JP but they kinda silently scrubbed any mention of that at some point too and she kinda ended up becoming like yoshi's rival/gf in the spinoff games.
