In older clips theres a lot of footage of Phil "managing his books." Unless he has bad organizational skills, it looked like he was doing a lot more paperwork than a regular home owner that worked in a bakery. I have no idea if Jess was helping out with CKY money but I think they were working on their 3rd album by the time Bam got famous.

One of the things that fucked Steve-O up (and likely Bam as well) was not having anything to do after Jackass ended. They went from hanging with their bros all the time and having regular work to sitting at home all alone with nothing to do but blow their fortunes on drugs and booze. Knoxville was able to keep himself busy with an actual acting career, but the rest really didn't have much else to do. Bam is a creative guy and he could have literally done "whatever the fuck he wants" after his shows ended. He could have stayed busy by being an independent film maker. Instead he decided to wollow in self-pity and become a shitbag drunk and junkie and deadbeat dad, blaming everyone else for his problems but himself because he wasn't a special celebrity anymore.

He was actually very honest about this in the last time he was on Wild Ride. Steve-o was telling him how he was jelous of him when he was younger because he was so motivated and always busy with new projects and stuff to do. Bam replied that he was focused on one goal after another when he was young but then at one point he looked around, saw he had the mansion, a bunch of cars, hit tv shows, was already on the cover of every skater mag and simply decided he was done and over with trying to achieve new things and would just party and celebrate from then on because he felt he had accomplished all there was to accomplish. The man peaked before he was even 30.
Or just focus on his production company or the record label that went nowhere or simply sell skate merch. He was probably the most known skater in the world that wasn't tony hawk for fucks sake, just make it a brand and milk that shit. Could have done literally anything. Weeman is doing great with his taco franchise.

I’ve heard whispers over the years that other than that awful movie
Grind in which Bam basically played a literal version of himself he was never able to land any respectable acting roles because he burned that bridge almost immediately on a different production by signing his contract and then either not showing up on set at all or just being a constant nuisance of a dumpster fire that shoyld have been tailed by an experienced tard wrangler who could handle him.
Sorry I don’t remember more but the TLDR of the rumors is that Bam was never taken seriously in Hollywood because he never took Hollywood seriously and ended up blacklisted like commie.
