That, and its alternative version "They are willing to work the jobs Americans don't want to work" (Because I'm only willing to pay peanuts). I wouldn't be surprised if Boomers were the largest employers of illegals.

One conversation I had with somebody was about AI/outsourcing affecting the job market. I work in a call center. I was told how AI is beneficial for employment since it would save on personnel and other costs. So, all of us would need to potentially be displaced because "it's cheaper." What is with that mindset?

Their mentality is absolutely screwed up. I have been considering the theory that their generation is majorly brain damaged by lead poisoning. Because nothing about their mentality or priorities makes any sense.

The theory is almost certainly true, but it's not just the main culprit.

To massively oversimplify, Boomers, and to an extent, Gen X, were exposed to many more highly toxic chemicals, and pollutants than the modern generations are. For starters, the notoriously dangerous pesticide, DDT, was so widely used, and thought to be so harmless that there were ads endorsing it for direct household use labeled with the phrase "DDT is good for me".

Spoiler: Yes, really.

Now combine all that with lead, smog, thalidomide, actual fucking doctor prescribed meth, and God knows what else in addition to families that were also dealing with the trauma of the Great Depression, World War II, and the Cold War at the time, and it's no wonder that Boomers are like this.

I remember watching countless videos of all of the perfectly good used vehicles being destroyed, including a late '80s or early '90s Firebird. The mechanics did a few donuts with it beforehand for good measure. Thinking back on it pisses me off all over again.

EDIT: I also remember a video of a '90s Buick Roadmaster station wagon (LT1 Corvette engine in those, if I remember correctly) being destroyed. The mechanic had already filled the engine with the solution that seizes it up. He says, "F*** you, Obama" to the camera before starting the car and putting the gas pedal to the floor.
