While I think the idea of black america is better I will not watch any of the shows. What I would watch is a show about the salt:
2 alt history series are airing and everyone loses their shit. Friends, neighbours and families turn against each other and accusing everyone of racism. The ratings are skyrocketing but it's all an evil plan by jewish producers to take over the world.

But I agree. Kaiserreich would be for a cool novel or alt history television show and then finally I can share all my kaiserreich memes and not be a loser.

I love alt-history stuff, so I hope both of these are good. I just hate how people on both sides of the aisle automatically assume that because a show is exploring certain ideas that might not sit well with them, it is an endorsement of them and has no right to exist.

Anyone who thinks either of these shows "has no right to exist" is an exceptional individual.
The Game of Thrones guys will not be creating an especially honest or intelligent show (look at how far the quality of GoT has dropped since they ran out of Martin's books), and I don't believe for a second that the other show will be anything but "woke." But if HBO and Amazon want to spend their money that way, good for them. Freedom of speech.

Only Mississippi ever had a majority of Black inhabitants, barely, at like 51%. The other states? It would be a Race War before that happened. But hey. The cities go back to being comfy places to safely live in, and the Black minorities can no longer tip the balances of any state where they currently have 10% or more population. Which means the US Senate and US HoR become Hard Right Republican property.
Even more so than if California left the Union.

Thanks to this system, you can almost claim that St. Louis is an ocean port. While having an entire continent of land on all sides protecting it. Its a bit ridiculous. So technically, with reasonable usage fees, you can harvest a decent amount of money from control of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. And what TVA did for North East Alabama and Tennessee can't be understated. Industrialized the entire area. With decent management, there is decent potential.
Even more so than if California left the Union.

I haven't watched any clips of show (if they exist) but i thought 'Confederate' is going to be based on the 'Southern Victory' series of novels, in which slavery was still ended less than 20 years after the war was over. If their straying that far from the source material, then I'm more inclined to believe its going to be a pathetic masturbatory fantasy intended for the same people who are exited about this show.

The show isn't even written yet but the producers said it's about instituionalized slavery in modern times. The south won, black slavery never ended. There are slave hunters and so on.
I kinda get why people are upset and I think this will be a mess because nowadays critique works like this: online/offline death threats, harassment, bullying, maybe even violence.
In my opinion, if you are a white actor on this show your balls have to be massive because the outrage is going to get much worse than it's now. The producers said they knew there will be backlash but I think they underestimate it.
