Because Chuds wanted a TV show about some militia men killing politicians and celebrities with the visuals of killing of reddit/marvel soy cape shit. The Chuds were ripped off once again by the kikes and got "The Goys" instead. Not that the Chuds expected Hollywood to ever produce anything based, but the kike shit was out of the usual metric and that's why they have a lot to say about it.
Every time anyone mentions GoT, or references it, I'm just like: "I'm glad I never got into that shit."
Seasons 1-5 are entertaining enough to be worth the time, and if you want to continue the story it serves as a decent enough advertisement for the books. Just walk away after season 5 to avoid wasting your time, nothing of value occurs after season 5, at all.
forgive me if i’m wrong here but doesn’t season 5 butcher several characters like stannis, little finger, and baristan selmy? I haven’t watched anything past 4 since that’s when they ran out of books
I mean if that’s your personal preference that’s fine but the castration bit only occurs once and it’s a particularly sadistic character. The rest of the story is quite an entertaining drama and i’d recommend it personally. Not a lot of shows can maturely tackle a character like Jamie Lannister who’s an absolute asshole at the start of the series only for them to open up and explain why they are the way they are.
There were already cracks by season 4. I think it's pretty evident that D&D's end goal was the Red Wedding and they didn't have particularly much interest after that.
Yes and they butchered a lot more than that which is impressive considering the ASOIAF fandom has spend the last decade coming up with better ideas than GURM.

I remember seeing a ASOIF display at Borders after the show was announced and reading through the first few books with my dad. Season one was pretty faithful but something in two made me drop it. It was one of those meaningless changes you get in adaptations where you just know that they're going to start changing shit for no reason.
