I hate this case and the whole Onion connection.
The plaintiffs sued for money, not poetic justice. If they wanted to be sure Infowars would only be used for leftist-approved humor, they could have made that a term of the settlement.
Even if Alex Jones' debt is astronomical and unpayable (and seemingly cannot be appealed), the court still has a responsibility to make sure his assets are sold for the highest amount possible to help him pay off his debts. That's just how bankruptcy works. These ludicrous schemes where the families try to leverage his impossibly large debt to them as collateral for a non-existent loan to buy his assets is complete nonsense. As are sealed bids and all the other foolishness.
