CyberPunk Edgerunner season 2 comes out this fall. Form what i have seen, i think its gonna suck dick.

Was the first one any good?

Better than expected. A pretty predictable downfall story with basic characters carried hard by awesome visuals, music, and direction. Solid overall and a great video game adaptation that ironically enough saved the game it was based on. The sequel seems to be a bit more ambitious so Im hoping it doesn't tread familiar territory.

The guy who directed the best episode of the first season

That guy has directed the best episode of every Trigger anime within the last 8 years and this is his debut as a series director so its worth a watch for that alone.

Sayonara Lara coming July 5th. It's being released as Kinema Cirtus' fifteenth anniversary special show. The Little Mermaid doesn't die and ends up in Japan with I think reincarnations of the people in her life from before. The Prince, the Witch, her Sisters. No manga to go off of, it seems to be an original story but the Ghibli like visuals sold me instantly

Finally got to watch Virgin Punk. This seriously should've been made 15+ years sooner, you could tell Umetsu wanted to go further with nudity and violence like he did in the past (or just be full-blown hentai) but had to tone it down a smidge. This also really does feel like a true entry into the world of Kite/Mezzo Forte that for whatever reason he couldn't get funding for until recently. I have no idea if there's ever going to be more of this despite the sequel baiting because goddamn it, Aniplex.

I hope the usual suspects of the Internet are shitting themselves in rage over it.
