Fire Force is kind of shit but I will probably watch the anime-ending when that comes out just because of it's connection to the only other thing written by the same author it's not a spoiler.

Soul Eater was a lot more interesting and more consistent, I could give a shit less about your shonen power system when it's so loosely interpreted that you speed run from "everyone has fire powers" to "um actually it totally makes sense why this character can bend time". Also didn't like the main character duo and the only other characters I remember are the coombait slampieces the muscle girl and the femdom gal. Probably would have plodded through but there was a plot dump leading into new villain squad at the beginning of one of the seasons and I couldn't be asked

I saw the first three episodes of the final season of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War in theaters last night and all I have to say is, good job team. I'm surprised at how much they actually changed. They expanding on a lot of elements. I was always particularly worried about Uryu's big fight in all of this because in the manga it's very much not a fight due to the nature of the two fighters abilities being not visually appealing. It seems they went in an entirely new direction with that so that's pretty good.
Happy to hear it is off to a solid start. I'm really curious about the final season because I don't think there's really that much left to do in TYBW unless some heavy expanding is done (which I would not mind). I know there are rumors of the Hell Arc finally happening but I don't want to get my hopes up.

They did quite a bit of expanding. The added scenes mostly went to Uryu and Ichigo though.

In B4 it's not Bleach, it's Burn The Witch In Hell. It's too perfect of a name for that crossover to not be happening. Besides, why is it called Burn the Witch anyway? Why is it tied to Bleach?

Didn't we have an anime of BTWitch already? How would this crossover work when these witches operate with completely different rules?
It's not even a crossover, Bleach and Burn the Witch are already the same universe. Does that make any sense? Fuck no but it's Bleach we just do new outfits on existing characters here.

Any random recommendations you guys want to throw at me ?
Guin Saga, if you don't mind the myriad of unexplained plot points - 26 episodes was too little to explain too much, and the author died, so the story remains unfinished. It's a fantasy anime taking itself very seriously, with the added bonus of a soundtrack by Nobuo Uematsu (the Final Fantasy guy).

I need to rewatch it, we still have time before the new season begins.

1-13 for Shin + Rei + a glimpse of Jagi
almost nailed it, they did an extra episode for that glimpse of Jagi so season 1 is now concluded and now we wait until an undisclosed period in 2027 for part 2

4 years of waiting to blow your load in two months and wait another year

Scum Heroes had ended and it was overall a disappointment. The main issue is that it cucked in following up on "heroes are state approved murderers" and instead it's a self pity party by the hero crying about how life is hard when he has a busted super power, tons of friends, a group of fangirls following him around and is famous for how powerful he is.

Japs have some weird ass thing about any sort of killing being spiritually equal to murder. The show doesn't even approach the idea of heroes killing innocents by mistake, or the baddies being morally grey (they literally call themselves Demon Lords for fuck's sake), which would be the minimum of moral greyness. The heroes just end up being private detective analogues, that can be good or bad, rather than just another side of the coin of villains.

Not just a Jap thing, everyone does that shit now where all violence is equal. S Scum Heroes Shounen? Makes sense if they did that then. Can't trust Japanese autism to distinguish that some very bad people deserve death vs rape of nanking reenactment

Oh it gets wild. Also yes. Expect it more in a melodrama psychological sense though. Shit hits the fan for them all though.
I finished, and I'm just a little disappointed that it didn't go tits-up so melodramatically like I was thinking.
Literally once Rei dies, everything and everyone just calms down before those last six episodes end, and no one loses their mind or does something stupid in their grief. Seriously, did we really need all of those six episodes of chill?

Also lol the show's more hetero than not. :story:

I don't regret getting the Blu-Ray, it's clearly an important anime to have and there's things to enjoy from it, and I like the imouto theming it's got going for it. Pacing just needed tightening up and it'd be a pretty solid show.
