The Yagyu arc in Gintama is absolute kino. The toilet episode in particular is just amazing.
Technically Kyubey is a trannie, but it's justified due to her family gaslighting her into it. Also funny how weird it is when the Amanto actually show up once in like 10 episodes.

A new Wataru anime is coming out! I guess it's time to finally watch this show. I liked Granzort and Goldran, and Wataru seems to be a mix of the two, so it should be good. The late 90s version is allegedly quite poignant.
Also, I read the SD Gundam World Heroes: Legend of the Dragon Knight manga, which I believe is the only SD Gundam manga in English. I liked it; it used Arthurian names as a hook, but the story was basic, although satisfying. The bright spot was the high-line-count mecha drawings and the Robin Hood Gundam. There's also an (unfinished) text story, which is a fun little romp through several realms to prevent an extraterrestrial threat.

Been watching and catching up with Classroom of the Elite, mostly because season 3 is airing this season. I've never watched it but I heard of it before. It's a good school anime. If I had watched it when I was younger when it aired, I would have liked it a lot more.
Finished S1 last night. It was kinda slow to get started. But from the pool episode onwards it had me engaged, especially on the survival island arc. I liked the camping stuff, was a boy scout, all that. I question drinking river water without boiling it first, especially being down stream.
But overall I think I'll finish S2 and keep up with S3. It's a bit average but it has its charms

does anyone have any recs for manga that’s like I am a hero? Admittedly, I don’t really read any manga at all, but I really enjoyed that and like apocalypse kinda stories.
I’ll be willing to give anything a go-maybe anime too if it’s sort of the same. I’m actually watching solo leveling without knowing anything about it and it’s pretty neat so far (sort of-the characterization is sorta iffy, but the story is a neat idea)
