Honestly I feel like the reason "cartoons" aren't taken seriously is the name...it just sounds kinda childish imo. Animation feels more inclusive at least and shows a boarder spectrum. That might not fix certain problems like art style and the like and quite frankly certain aspects of cartoons turn me off but it's a start at least...
it seems weird enough to find someone who isn't bias towards either medium. I like anime and cartoons cause I enjoy the animation and art direction of both mediums and although I have my harsh thoughts on western animation as a whole..I much prefer it over the now incestuous anime medium...

New to this thread, but oh boy PhantomStrider, what a dickwad. One thing I particularly noticed about him is he seems to have a gargantuan hate boner for Christianity. He once made a video about the top ten worst religious films and oh what a surprise, every single one was Christian related. Granted there's a LOT of shitty Christian films/cartoons out there outside of Veggietales (and even that has dropped in quality over the years), but at the end he gave a non-Christian religious video a free pass so that alone says something.

That's nothing, honestly, his hatred for Christianity can even be spotted worse in other videos. In his "Top Ten Blue's Clues videos", he outright suggests priests are out there giving enabling speeches to start doing racist / anti-semitic attacks.

I'd never heard of this Strider guy until I started looking at this thread. Took the plunge and tried watching one of his videos.
