In April, members from the Gloucester County FFA Chapter attended the 82nd Annual NJ FFA Association Spring Career Development Events (CDE) held at Cook College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Five events are conducted during Spring CDEs – Agricultural Mechanics; Agricultural Sales; Environmental and Natural Resources; Floriculture; and Nursery and Landscape. FFA assists students to develop their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success. Students competing in CDE apply skills learned in the classroom to practical scenarios in competitive situations. Industry experts serve as coordinators for the events, ensuring that students are provided with practicums that help prepare them for future careers in the agriculture, food, and natural resources industry. The team comprised Alicia Mulholland, Robert Springer, Phillip Haskins-Delici, and Julia Laughlin.
