The only attempted assault was Mama pushing around the video camera guy afaik. That being said, there's a very high possibility dude was being annoying to them right before rolling the camera. Like an autism thunderdome.

For sure the YTubers were being annoying to the Yanivs. But still, annoyance in itself wouldn't give Mama Yaniv the right to physically touch them or Baby Jonathan the right to threaten pepper spray (which he actually had for an illegal purpose there). Jonathan has gone on since last year about being a "high-profile" person, he is now getting the clips that I believe he hopes will launch him to some TLC show, and that kind of fame/infamy usually comes with asshats trying to take your picture and troll you. He could have called the cops and kept his mouth shut, but he's even more incapable than his detractors in doing that.

I absolutely agree with you. I just find it likely that's how it went down. It provides a motive for the Yanivs outbursts, but not an excuse. That video the dude dropped that the other thread on this centers around was simply magical.
This is the kind of content that draws me back into lolcows like this one. The parallels to CWC were just the most magical thing and I don't think there is a comedy writer alive who could produce a scene like that baby tantrum that was as funny as it was.

I knew a guy a long time ago who truly loved that he was Hated in the Nation.
It pleased him on a primal level, it informed his art. This..How can it feel to be under this
spotlight of absolute global hatred? He's hated in Hungary and Japan, ffs! Is he pleased?
Is this what he had in mind? When did this petty grift slip out of his control? Is he
frightened? I have so many questions.

His affect is usually flat when it is not highly exaggerated. Earlier this year, someone posted a random video of him claiming he was driving into Washington State. The guy was throwing around his blond wig (not the one today) in a frenzied smiling head-smashing car dance while driving 70 mph. Whether he's bipolar or whether this was an affectation to gather views? No one can say, and that's the grey he takes advantage of.
He's said in public that he has a personality disorder. Many think it's narcissistic; I personally think it's more antisocial. Every interaction feels like he's ACTING IT, putting in keywords, phrases that he predicts will end up benefiting him.

The TERF did a lot more screeching TBH. The liberal feminist was wrong and "your sign is silencing people" is BS, but she actually spoke in a clearer and calmer voice, which made her sound more reasonable, even though what she was saying was misinformed.
