I'm sure the residents of Ma8 are fascinated to hear about some cute sci fi film, and how it's more important than their jobs, their healthcare or their children's education. Man of the people John "Brianna Wu" Flynt, ladies and gentlemen.

Imagine taking a film so seriously.

The Russian bots meme is just the 2016 equivalent for that Seymour Skinner meme from the Simpsons

“Am I out of touch? No, it must be children who are wrong”

I would bite the Russian bots meme if they were trying to push something that obviously wasn’t just funny and not a shared opinion we all naturally have. “Who could find the new Starwars not stunning and brave? Must be bots” it couldn’t possibly be A naturally exacerbated and fed up fanbase.

Also, has anyone here ever talked to a Russian? Even the ones who are really well educated you can still tell in there writing and presentation that they’re not a native English speaker.

Which is always funny to think about because Guccifer 2.0 had the mannerisms and writing of a native English speaker. Really makes u think.

So he knows how to stop the russian bots, but wont do it? What an asshole...

George Carlin's take on God also applies to Brianna Wu.

"He loves you, and He needs money! He always needs money! He's all-powerful, all-perfect, all-knowing, and all-wise, somehow just can't handle money!”

Well fuck. Now I have to tell all my IRL friends and family who told me the movie sucked that they're Russian bots. Any advice on how to break the news?

That's just how the mainstream do. Look at how many times bullshit pop-science has been debunked, including the piece this very article is referencing, only to appear a few months down the road after everyone has forgotten about the initial outrage. Hell, look at how long that one blatantly fake study about black women in porn and how their assholes are a window to the ghetto. Supposed scholars read that and thought it was suitable for publication in a peer reviewed journal.
Or this one lol:

"The term “Femi-Nazi” became all too accurate when a trio of academic tricksters participating in an elaborate hoax submitted portions of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf” rewritten through a feminist lens to a leading peer-reviewed feminist journal. The satirical paper was accepted this past academic year for publication by Affilia: Journal of Women and Social Work."

I find the muh russian bots narrative hilarious when people I know all across the political spectrum simply hate the fucking movie.
