Doug Walker has a lot of parallels to Big Boss.
-Wanted to make a nation/website where people in his respective profession were unrestricted by rules/guidelines/higher-ups, where they could do whatever they want.
-Established a group of like-minded friends/allies.
-Through various reasons tied miscommunication, incompetence, and autism, almost all of his allies end up leaving him.
-These former allies and friends are just as fucked up as him if not more so.
-His company/group did a lot of dirty work behind the scenes.
-"punished"

Big boss redeems himself in the end, though. We'll have to wait and see with Doug, but it's unlikely.
