It's far funnier than that - Phils got limited processing space so he can only occupy one or two ideas running through his head at any time - so he uses one for a while gets bored and he drops one in favor of a slightly new twist on an old one because that's just popped back up and knocked the old one to the back of the line.

How would going vegetarian supposedly help prep someone for surgery? Is there some weird explanation I've missed? I mean, it's ridiculous to expect ADF to ever make sense, but yeah.
