You can't rehabilitate anyone (except possibly Pu Yi). You can only impose penalties that minimize social harm. For rapists it's death, for petty thieves and vandals it's hard labor. Thieves and vandals can't be rehabilitated either, but there are so many of them that executing them is impractical, their law-abiding relatives would get too sad to be productive, which results in more social harm that thieves and vandals did.
Various justice systems and public opinion on them swings from favoring "practical" criminals to favoring "muhmentalhealth" and back again. Both sides are rooted in appeals to feefees, their arguments are just disguised litanies of epithets that Big Yud [he has a thread] once aptly called out. Some say "practical" criminals are worse, because they're "callous", and they will find another type of crime to commit where the expected punishment is less that the proceeds. Some say the muhmentalhealthes are worse, because the practicals can be "reasoned" with and punished harder until expected profit dips below zero, but the muhmentalhealthes will never stop. The line between the two groups is also subject to massdebates. Is shoplifting done for practical reasons? Not always, a lot of it is low IQ behavior. Is rape a lack of self-control? No, a lot of rapists plan their whole lives around getting access to children.
Justice should operate as if personal choice does not exist. No choice therefore no rehabilitation, just consequences.
Last week in Russia, a 12-year-old scrote raped and murdered a 12-year-old girl. He will get at most 5 years in a care home. Obviously he's been exposed to porn, and obviously the adults are to blame for exposing him to porn. Pornographers should be executed. Is he therefore "an innocent victim"? I DON'T GIVE A FUUUUUUCK. He's trash. He used to be a tiny widdle innocent babby at birth, but now he's trash. If a girl is murdered and the murderer is never caught, it's an injustice, but you still bury her body, you don't pretend she's alive. If a boy is groomed and murders a girl and the pornographers are never caught, it's also an injustice, but you still have to bury his body.
Moar importantly, it's politically either-or, too. It would be nice to deport brownoids without also politically empowering white rapists and pedophiles, but it's not happening. Look at the recent muhcensorship thread, where scrotes blame parents for letting children go on the online (where there are videos of rape). How is this different from blaming parents for letting a child out of the house? How is this different from laughing at street-shitting Indians? Why shouldn't the interwebs be kept clean?

Men can PREFER whatever they want, but they might not necessarily get it, and then they'll seethe at women in general for not giving them what they think they deserve regardless of how realistic it is.
