It will also be more difficult for Iran to even know ships are transiting the strait, because Qeshm and Lanark are the only places Iran controls where they can have visual over to the far side in Oman.

This cannot be overstated. one of the issues with why Iran can't control its mosiaced forces is they mostly do visual spotting as anything with radar would get acked. Losing control of the island would stop target identification and remove Iran's ability to base speed boats - sorry, "fast attack craft" nearby.

Spain needs booted from NATO, and then ideally invaded by Russia; maybe we can do a land swap where Russis gives up Ukrainian territory and gets 1:1 territory in spain. They are the only member that refused new funding targets but clearly have no intention of meeting their military commitments.

Get into the $90's and it gets hard to sell, into the $70's and the traders slow down selling. I'm fine saying I work in the energy sector, and I can confirm that traffic has slowed down quite a bit. The only constant seems to be base oil, but I'm not sure as to why that's the one product that seems to be impervious to market forces.

From a source KNOWLEDGABLE OF THE MATTER (but who I have met and trust to have the right opinions of these things) US oil is "long term profitable" above $~40/barrel thanks to Bakken. Oil companies want to see $55+/barrel, ideally $60+.. If you see oil down to $35/barrel, that is when you might see less profitable extraction start to shut down.

The IDF eliminated 6 Hezbollah operatives in Bint Jbeil, south of the Yellow Line.




Earlier today (Friday), IDF soldiers of the Paratroopers Brigade under the command of the 98th Division identified and eliminated six armed Hezbollah terrorists who operated in Bint Jbeil, south of the Forward Defense Line in southern Lebanon.

Following the identification, an exchange of fire began between the terrorists and the soldiers, during which the soldiers eliminated two terrorists.

Subsequently, the soldiers struck the structure from which the terrorists had been operating. In the strike, the four remaining terrorists were eliminated. No IDF injuries were reported.

This incident constitutes an additional blatant violation of the ceasefire understandings by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

The IDF will continue to operate to remove threats to Israeli civilians in the area of the Forward Defense Line.

You are brown, or at least not White. The reason Iran is such a problem is geography, geography is the best weapon in any war and Iran is lucky to have good geography. Now look at America's geography. We are fucking uninvadable. So maybe some browns in your region might gain more power but as an actual White American I am at no risk. And before you scream "BUT THE NUKES", just no, mutually assured destruction has proven it's validity and the very fact that the Iranians didn't activate their economic nuke until attacked proves that even Muslims can get the idea.
