The "solution" to this could either be to have them undergo serious psychiatric evaluation and basically ban people with cluster b personality / autism from transitioning. The other alternative would be to de-medicalize it altogether and just say it's a personal choice on how an individual presents themselves, but no one is obligated to entertain that notion.
I'd favour a complete ban on it for all ages with criminal charges bought against any doctors who continued.
Take the option off the table completely and stop the rot.
Let the whole sick movement die out instead of adding more bodies to the pile.

Another one bites the dust!

"A major Manhattan hospital, faced with threats of losing federal funding, has closed its prominent medical program for treating transgender youth.
The move by the hospital, NYU Langone Health, comes after the Trump administration in December proposed rules that would pull federal dollars from any hospital that provides gender transition treatments for adolescents, such as puberty blockers, hormone therapy or surgery. On Tuesday night, a spokesman for NYU Langone issued a statement citing “the current regulatory environment” as among the reasons the hospital had decided to discontinue its program for gender-related care for youth. “Given the recent departure of our medical director, coupled with the current regulatory environment, we made the difficult decision to discontinue our Transgender Youth Health Program,” according to the statement, which was provided by an NYU Langone spokesman, Steve Ritea."

Manhattan Hospital Ends Medical Treatment for Transgender Youth

This is awesome.

The only problem is it’s a short flight to Montreal from NY. While I’m so jelly of the things happening south and in terf island; Canada is so fucked, still.

I'd venture them going after kids. The wave of detransitioners lawsuits might also be helping because they did for the longest time say very few people regretted it.
I also think social contagion affects most people, especially with social media rampant. While they're a tiny minority IRL, they're not a "tiny minority" on social media. Their ideology and rhetoric is prevalent in almost all online spaces, even in spaces that have nothing to do with gender. Look on Reddit and you'll see posts on subreddits that have nothing to do with being trans with the title "Are Trans People Welcome Here" and banning people who simply state that this sub has nothing to do with transgenderism. Its the same in online Fandom spaces where these people do nothing but headcanon X character as trans

My question is what or how did public opinion change? TIPs are an extremely tiny minority. Most ppl dont encounter them most of the time, so why such a big swing in support? Was it really because of how they are online? If so then I wonder if they'll blame bots and trolls pretending to be trans people for why support went down

I think in the UK it was seeing abhorrent linebacker-sized rapists getting put in women's prisons.

On the other side of the Atlantic, it could be the shootings they've been involved in.

Canada might finally wake up due to the Tumbler Ridge shooter followed by the Rhode Island shooter a week later.

As usual, Helen Joyce has some good thoughts about this. One key reason why trans activists seemed to have so much support is that support for trans ideology was a "crony belief," meaning that people supported it primarily because it was the right thing to do socially and not because it was based on rational beliefs that help one to navigate the world successfully. Another big thing was that trans activists intentionally shape their messaging to keep as quiet as possible about the full nature and goals of their movement. Most civil rights movements are based on increasing awareness and showing the majority how normal your people are - think of how the gay rights movement placed so much emphasis on blood donations, civic engagement, etc. Gay rights activists wanted gay people to be visible and seen as normal. Trans activists know how repugnant the reality of their movement is to normal people and downplay it. When trans activists want to put men into women's sports, they intentionally shift their messaging to focus on how important teamwork and inclusion is, and try to avoid discussing the reality of what a man competing against women actually looks like. Instead, they pushed a slow and quiet march through institutions: flipping doctors and educators, encouraging legislators to make small adjustments to the law to enable self-ID, making public health spending available for "gender affirming care," and so on. They deliberately avoided doing this in a way where the general public would notice or have a chance to oppose it. Taken together, you get a situation where most people don't really know what the deal with trannies is, but they do know that it's considered morally correct to support them and you can get fired if you don't, so basically everyone goes along to get along while society is slowly engineered for the benefit of the trannies.

On the flip side, events over the last couple of years have made it increasingly hard for ordinary people to ignore what's going on with trans ideology. You've got the Cass review, trannies actually getting to the highest levels of women's sports, increasingly visible detransitioners, supreme court cases, etc. There was a lag between "gender affirming care" becoming common and its consequences becoming obvious to the general public. When you get two mass shootings by trannies in two weeks, it becomes very hard to keep your head buried in the sand. There's also the issue that "trans rights" are often zero sum in a way that other civil rights aren't. Men competing in women's sports take away the ability for women to compete safely and achieve the highest levels of success. Men in women's shelters and prisons come at the expense of the safety and comfort of real women. You can cover this up for a while, but the more men get into those spaces, the harder it becomes to ignore that women are losing rights so that trannies can gain them.

So overall, most people didn't have strong opinions on this but regurgitated the party line because it was convenient. They figured that trannies were kind of like gay people - they just want to get married/pee and are falsely maligned by religious conservatives. Then it became obvious to anyone who was paying attention what the trans movement actually was. The trans activists have flown too close to the sun, people are waking up, and it's becoming socially acceptable to call out the reality of the situation. As it becomes impossible to censor/fire everyone who speaks out, exponentially more people who were quietly allowing trans activists to do what they wanted are seeing and hearing the reality of what's happened and joining in with criticizing it. So it's not that everyone strongly supported trans ideology and then started strongly opposing it, it's that several factors coincided to move the Overton window rather sharply. Hopefully, that cycle will continue to build on itself until trans ideology is universally condemned. We aren't anywhere close to out of the woods yet, but at least things seem to be turning around.

Fat Dumb Gay Al should take the time to actually read the articles he is linking. Especillay when they disprove the very claim he is making.

"A judge on Wednesday ordered Rady Children’s Hospital San Diego to continue providing hormone therapy and puberty blockers to transgender kids for another month amid fears that the Trump Administration will force the facility to close rather than allow the services to continue. “This is an extraordinarily thorny issue,” said Superior Court Judge Matthew Braner, whose ruling encompasses the entire Rady health care system, which also includes a major hospital in Orange County.

Braner agreed that the Rady system faces an “existential risk” because it’s in the crosshairs of the White House, which is trying to shut down transgender services for minors. Rady had planned to eliminate gender-transition care for 1,900 patients as of Feb. 6 to avoid retribution from the Trump administration. The White House wants to eliminate Medicaid funding, which makes up 37 percent of Rady’s operating revenue, for hospitals that provide trans care to kids.

But the state of California sued the Rady system, arguing that its decision would violate an agreement that the San Diego hospital signed in order to merge with its sister hospital in Orange County. As part of the agreement, Rady said it would continue services such as gender-transition care.

In light of the conflicting pressure from both the federal government and the state, Braner told Rady attorneys that “you are between a rock and a hard place. The issue is how close is the rock and how close is the hard place.” Braner was skeptical that Rady is in immediate jeopardy of losing federal funds and then shutting down. As he noted, the Trump Administration’s efforts to kill gender-transition care in children are still in the works. On the other side, the judge said, “I see kids at risk of relative degrees of harm” if the care is eliminated at the Rady system.

Last week, Braner temporarily stopped Rady from eliminating hormone therapy and puberty blockers care for transgender kids pending the ruling this week. His Wednesday order forces Rady to continue providing the care until another hearing on March 10.

Under the judge’s order, the Rady system will continue providing hormone therapy, such as estrogen for transgender girls whose birth sex was male and testosterone for transgender boys whose birth sex was female. As for puberty blockers, which delay puberty so children can explore their gender identity and figure out next steps, Braner said Rady must continue to offer them via medication or surgical implants. However, the hospital will not provide surgery such as mastectomies to remove breasts in transgender boys. These procedures, which critics call “mutilation,” have come under more scrutiny in recent days as leading organizations of plastic surgeons and physicians cast doubt on their use in children.

It’s not clear how comfortable Rady clinicians will be about continuing to provide care. They may face criminal prosecution from the government, and the hospital’s CEO warned about concerns over safety."

No, they did not, retard. They are just required to say that you are a man. Which is factually true.

A lot of people have always been opposed, but remained quiet because speaking out put them in the "bad guy" camp. The media and network effects had them convinced they were in a minority. Now they've seen they aren't. Exposure, either through media, or through people they knew trooning out and turning into insufferable cunts, will also have pushed a lot of people off the fence.

There are studies showing that troonshine shrinks your brain
Excess oestrogen and low test also increases male aggression significantly. High e causes mood swings, depression, irritability, and fatigue, some of which could be the result of neurological issues caused by brain shrinkage.

Rhode Island trans shooter’s son, 37, jailed for torching black church year before dad’s deadly hockey rampage

"The troubled, racist son of trans Nazi-loving Rhode Island killer Robert Dorgan was jailed last year for setting a series of fires at a predominantly black church, according to a report. Kevin Colantonio, one of six children Dorgan had with three different women, is serving a nearly seven-year sentence in a Texas federal prison for using gasoline and a lighter to spark five fires outside Shiloh Gospel Temple Ministries in North Providence in February 2024, WPRI reported. The church — which the deranged arsonist labeled as a place of worship for “Atheist God mockers” in a text to his family after the blaze — serves a mostly black congregation of 100 and was empty when the flames erupted."

"Feb 17 (Reuters) - Two major medical groups filed lawsuits on Tuesday accusing the U.S. Federal Trade Commission of launching investigations into them concerning their support of gender-affirming care for transgender youth as part of an effort by President Donald Trump's administration to retaliate against them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Endocrine Society filed separate, opens new tab lawsuits, opens new tab in federal court in Washington, D.C., challenging demands the FTC made last month that they turn over an array of information as part of what the groups called an unconstitutional effort to punish them for their support for treating transgender youth and to silence them.

The groups called the FTC's document demands overbroad and said they were issued to intimidate them in violation of the U.S. Constitution's protections against government abridgment of free speech after earlier disagreements with the Trump administration. "Unable to prevail in the marketplace of ideas, the FTC has resorted to burdening AAP with an intrusive and expensive investigation that is unconstitutional and outside the scope of the FTC's statutory authority," AAP alleged in its lawsuit, which seeks a judicial order blocking the document request as unconstitutional. The FTC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The FTC is a federal agency that enforces various antitrust and consumer protection laws. It issued a civil investigative demand, akin to a subpoena, on January 15 to AAP as part of a probe into whether it made false claims or engaged in unfair practices in connection with the marketing and advertising of "pediatric gender dysphoria treatment," according to court papers.
Gender dysphoria is the clinical diagnosis for significant distress that can result from an incongruence between a person's gender identity and sex at birth. The Endocrine Society, which represents doctors who specialize in conditions related to hormones, said it received a similar civil investigative demand on January 20. The FTC's demands came nearly a year after Trump in January 2025 signed executive orders that declared the United States would recognize only two sexes, male and female, and directed agencies to end all federal funding or support for gender-affirming care for minors."

This is a really good question. One thing I have come to realise is that on issues that don't affect them directly, most people just go for the popular opinion in their social circle. Then they go silent and then they swing en masse.

It is completely impossible to really measure public opinion on this topic. I am convinced that a large chunk of the population in most countries doesn't understand the enforced jargon at all and is still not sure what "a trans woman" means. Genuinely I had to explain to a guy on Twitter a couple of years ago that uterus transplants are not a thing. He showed me a couple of links to storie about "trans men" having babies.

Also it's a topic that many people don't really want to think about. The brain recoils at the thought of the procedures and all that. Weren't we all at this stage once before we made an effort to read up?

That statement needs to be picked apart and completely refuted. There's no such thing as a "gender identity". And even if there was "an incongruence" between it and someone's sex in their heads, that's not the public's problem or concern. There's nothing that can be done about it without effecting someone else's rights.
