You are looking at a young forest without many deer in the area. I don't see any paths, so she is either on top of one, or she is wandering around on some private property.

The area looks moist. So either there was recent rainfall, or she in lower terrain, perhaps near a creek or stream.

Ahead of her is a clearing with a break in the trees. There is a barbed wire fence so she is stopping at the property line. The neighbor probably has cows.

April has picked up the feather because it looks pretty and feels nice. The stick also has a good tactile feel. If you are wondering around in the woods you will tend to pick up sticks, nuts, rocks, moss, plants, berries, branches, leaves & seed pods. Enjoying the tactile feel of nature while you walk is part of the enjoyment. People also tend to crush up some of the plant leaves for the aroma. Men will tend to pick up something more akin to a walking stick as it is more useful. But either one will clear the cobwebs from hitting your face.

The only thing that isn't normal is a girl is posting on the internet from her smart phone a picture of her hand and the woods, at a clearly fenced in property line, complaining that she is "lost" for attention.

Normally you go off to wander in the woods to get away from all of that bullshit. Not beg for more.

If she really did leave the polycule without a bridge boyfriend, it's probably the first time since she was 14 that some guy wasn't providing for her. She used Aaron to get away form prev BF, Nick to get from Aaron, etc. No reason to think this isn't the predictable part of her BPD.

The feather looks to be a part of the bracelet.

The picture is very obviously posed.

Experienced hunters and climbers can certainly get lost but they know how to get help, too. If she can post on social media, she can summon help. She's also not likely to get lost in a familiar place during daylights hours, but she's dramatic enough to go somewhere unfamiliar so she can have a "crisis".

As mentioned, her phone will have maps and it will have a compass. She's not claiming to be injured, so she can either try to find her way out or wait for rescue.

She used to hunt near Nick's. I find it curious that she's saying she's lost in "some" woods. If you're genuinely lost you're going to give at least some information about your last known location and where you were heading.

Most kids can get themselves something to eat by the time they're school aged and I guess them knowing how to use a microwave can be counted as them being able to "cook for themselves", but most parents will continue to organise most of their kids meals while they're living at home so they know their kids are eating a balanced diet. Maybe they buy a heap of frozen or pre-prepared meals that their kids only have to heat, but with a $3000 a month snack budget, I doubt it.

Cooking for your kids is even more than just providing a balanced meal to the kids. It's the action of caring for them. There's a reason why so many people love going home to have a meal cooked by their mom just like when they were kids. There's a comfort in showing up at home at the end of a school day and smelling that someone is in the kitchen making sure you're cared for. It makes your house feel like a welcoming home. My kids can all cook for themselves well, they're older, and they still would rather I cook because according to them, no one does it like mom.

April is not physically lost. This is nonsense. She is lost as in emotionally and mentally lost. The forest is just the physical backdrop for her heckin feelings.

It’s established woodland that has been unmaintained for 10 years or more, enough for those saplings to grow tall and spindly and then blow over.
I wouldn’t rule out that it’s Rekieta’s land. How that would tie in with what’s going on I have no clue.
