Not an American so need to ask, are DVD players a standard thing to expect in hotel rooms? Or is this another example of Jack being unreasonably demanding?

i don’t remember a time i have stayed in a hotel room in my entire life that had a dvd player. or even a VCR back in those days.

also edit; it was mentioned above that this is apparently a timeshare he has (which is such a terrible thing to have) so it may be a small condo or apartment. even so, i can’t fathom caring about there being a DVD player.

Pretty sure most of those activities require functioning use of both arms.

No. I've never seen a hotel with one. The TVs usually come with some kinda cable or satellite though, usually with enough channels to make up for it.

Hotels have enough trouble with their guests constantly stealing towels and soaps and anything not chained down.

It looks like Jack went to South Point for the sports book, but why? It's going the opposite direction of the strip and I know for a fact that Mandalay Bay, one of the first casinos you see at on the strip, has a sports book. MGM grand does as well.

It looks as if Jack spent all his time avoiding the Las Vegas Strip unless he absolutely needed to go there.

And yes, Jack is being a Karen with all the amenities that you don't use in a Las Vegas resort. Most rooms don't have a DVD player now because streaming is a thing. Washer and dryer? How little did you pack/how fucked up did you get where you need to do laundry? Dirty dishes in the dishwasher? Who flies halfway across the country to a city known for it's food and decides its time for a home-cooked meal?

Not sure how Time Shares work with regard to janitorial staff, but in the few times I’ve stayed in hotels during Covid they are hands off unless you call down to the front desk and specifically have them clean. However, I would think they should be cleaning between guests. But I’m sure they’re short staffed like everyone else during the pandemic. If they aren’t answering at the front desk, limp your fatass to the elevator and Karen it up in person if it’s that big of a deal. I bet the Scalfattis don’t even tip the cleaning staff either.

That being said, I hope the dirty dishes were licked by a person with Covid and now they’ve been exposed.

Georg Rockall-Schmidt, YouTuber and part-time Phil Burnell lookalike, released a video a few weeks ago explaining MLMs (pyramid schemes) and how they abuse immigrants and the elderly.

It's a bit off-topic because I briefly mis-remembered Nevada as the MLM capital of the world, but it's that Mormon hell hole Utah. (Hi Russell Greer!)

Who the hell stays at "tahiti village"? Did he get some special facebook boomer discount on the rooms or something because there are much nicer places to stay on the strip or on freemont street that are cheap af.

This is the room layout he's complaing about, only one with a kitchen.

LOL the whole family is staying in one suite. Must be so much fun for jr. Youd think the young ones would at least stay on the strip and not have their vacation currated by their parents.

also after reading the google reviews on this place it might be a possibility that jack got the rooms for free if he sits through hours long timeshare sales pitches.
