I'll never understand the thought process for getting this surgery. Sure you lose your breasts and could in theory pass slightly better as a 12 year old boy, but at the same time you get horrific scars that instantly tells people that you're a woman who got her breasts chopped off. I mean, how many cis dudes have no nipples and a scar across their torsos?

Because for a not insignificant percentage of them, surgery isn't actually about passing. If it were, there'd be more FTMs named Jacob or Dan or Matt who get the surgery and then move on to lead quiet, normal lives, instead of the terminally online Ollies and Quinns and Xanders we see in this thread who spend their lives whining about the fact that people don't take their five upper-lip hairs and chin-pubes seriously and that no gay man will accept them as the true and honest "uwu demi-catboi yaoi [insert other retarded label here]" whatevers they feel themselves to be.
