When I was studying German in high school I would watch German youtubers to try and practice the language. One of them was this girl who made mostly fandom and Harry Potter related videos, thanks to the fact the content was easy for a non-fluent speaker to understand.
I just looked her up out of curiosity to see what she's up to and she's trooned out.

To be fair, they'll call anyone a TERF. They have no standards. Last week a bunch of trans cat girls were bullying a woman on Twitter for the crime of: Pointing out that the Taliban doesn't respect pronouns. Which is because actual women are targeted (not fake women) for their sex-slave trafficking and sexual oppression. (Sadly the screenshot was deleted in the rollback)

I'll never understand the thought process for getting this surgery. Sure you lose your breasts and could in theory pass slightly better as a 12 year old boy, but at the same time you get horrific scars that instantly tells people that you're a woman who got her breasts chopped off. I mean, how many cis dudes have no nipples and a scar across their torsos?FtM top surgery removes the nipples entirely. Pure mutilation. I can't believe doctors are allowed to do these botch jobs.

yes, but with clothes on, you won't have boobs anymore = no staring or ogling (at least that's the thought process for most, I'd wager). Plus, I'd argue that even a flat chest with a huge scar is more socially acceptable to just have out in public than 'normal' female breasts.

I did a little picture search and typed in "Nebido transgender". Found seven YouTube videos with girls who've been on it for three months.
It also has it's own # on Tumblr.
As you said, her picture really is a good illustration of the power of Tumblr, and social contagion.

Scars can be hidden with shirts more than boobs. Do remember these are immature teen girls, they are so susceptible to peer pressure. Getting your tits chopped off will get them tons love bombing for the short tern and feels super rebellious. That can look worth it to get some silly scars. That high will fade of course and they will be leaft with the consequences of the surgery but teens be short sided.

Years back when I was in college, I actually had a "non-binary" teacher, and he was actually pretty cool as far as teachers go, but I just remember having to suppress a chuckle when he had us all tell our pronouns, and literally with him as an exception, 100% of the class identified exactly how they looked, it just felt patronizing and egotistical.

Fuck, reminds me of a girl I met at a party once from the Catholic school who pretended to be greek because of all the greeks that went to her school. She had blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin but spoke like she was from Acropolis Now (or My Big Fat Greek Wedding for those of you who aren't Australian.)

One of the bigger reasons for legal gender change was marriage - heterosexual trans women couldn't get married to their partners. The UK took a hardline on it after the 1960s and classed it as perjury or an invalid marriage. Groups like Press For Change raised awareness and sympathetic articles were published. Even after the Gender Recognition Act 2004 passed, enabling trans people to change their legal gender, there was still some furore over gender recognition certificates (although nowhere near as much as today) as already married trans people who started transitioning had to finalise their divorces before being able to legally change their gender.
These aspects went away with gay marriage being legalised. You'll note that while there were trans people involved in many parts of the gay rights movement, and e.g. a man who wanted to transition but would still be into his wife wanted to maintain his ability to stay married, none of these heterosexual marriage groups really supported anything to do with the gay marriage laws. Which puts the trans community's current hatred of faggots into a bit of perspective. As much as there's claims of the gay community "throwing the trans community under the bus" in the pursuit of acceptance, the inverse did happen here on TERF island.
The other aspects are to do with stealth trans people scared of having to out themselves to employers etc. but most of the people in this thread both don't want to live stealth and also don't pass enough to ever consider living stealth.

Ironically as being trans is becoming so mainstream, there's nothing unique or interesting about a random middle aged person talking about their transition. Jazz Jennings (well, ok, Jazz's muchie mother) got in at the right time because a trans child was still a novelty when their show started airing.
This is highly confusing. If you pass 100% as a boy and teachers supposedly tend to he/him you, then you wouldn't be outing yourself by saying you're he/him. Because all the boys in the class will say he/him. "Forcing closeted students to out themselves or misgender themselves" is not what's happening here, because closeted students will be automatically misgendered until they out themselves.
Probably it's because they're 14. They've missed the memo from people a decade older that everyone needs to do pronoun circles all the time because it teaches the cis never to assume pronouns. It's like how ten years ago you were transphobic if you didn't write "trans*" (because the asterisk is a wildcard and so includes everyone under the trans umbrella) and now you're transphobic if you do write "trans*" (because you're implying those people don't count as trans enough to fit under plain old "trans").
