The kicker is that Philroach isn't trying to discourage asking about anything other than food. He's just legit not capable of having thoughts about anything else. Unless he's clout-chasing, but he doesn't have anything to say there, he just talks anyway.
If his fans weren't so stupid, they would notice that Philroach makes it very obvious what motivates him to even attempt to have a personality, and that it will never reflect his true self.
