I never get why he has to embellish everything he says somehow. Like he said there was a monorail that "takes you downtown for commerce" or he called baseball "American Baseball". Who fuckin talks like this except Dave?

The monorail is a tourist trap, it goes like several blocks. Like Phil it only exists to take money off of rubes.

He fell forty feet into the ring and died instantly after the mechanism that was supposed to lower him in failed. Someone recalling the scene said something like " he fell down from the rafters"

I wonder if Phil's champions handle is a reference to this?
