I think the answer is in the question. If you’re smart enough to hide your shit, you‘re smart enough to not paint a target on your back,
Or not desparate, or not narcissitic, or whichever flaw.

Either way, you have enough sense and shame to keep your head down unless you do something you’re proud of (and enough integrity to not be proud of being an edgelord.)

ILJ had some plausible deniability of her role in Chris's recent crime and we still aren't entirely sure exactly how much she inspired it. However all the gayops that we've seen here and in the discord leaks very much fueled the scrutiny and even got access to logs due to Allen's discord key. Her batshit crazy antics and attempts to frame Fiona and throw her friends under the bus has gathered a lot of interest and even solidified a lot of opinions including mine that she is partly responsible for the initiation of Barbara's rape or at least encouraged more of it. It would have been far better to accept that she got doxxed or at least not attempt to actively interfere with the snooping even if it meant being at a certain level of lolcow
 
When being pressed by people on something that you have done wrong, either own up to it, or if you are attempting to be more nefarious: Keep your cool, don't incriminate yourself, don't provide contradictory information, don't needlessly throw people under the bus, be aware that your co-conspirators can rat you out if they are feeling the pressure, get off of discord, and if all that fails, just disengage early on and self-censor yourself.

But really, don't create a literal bread-trail of your fuckups, and if you're going to try and brag to people then coming to a forum full of autists obsessed with sleuthing through internet lore to find out gossip on their favorite e-celebrities is retarded.
 
I hope the younger teens reading into this have learned to limit their internet consumption. On that note, I am glad that I grew up during a time when I used the Internet primarily as a means to have fun and play games, and not as a social necessity

Be mindful of who you associate with in your life and how they influence you.

Limit your internet footprint. If you have to have a personal account to keep up with friends or family only post normie things. Use different usernames across platforms.

Use a more secure, ephemeral method to chat if you are doing edgy or illegal shit like wickr.

Practice barebones basic hygiene.
 
Don't be a backbiting little cunt towards people who think you're their friend

Don't close your eyes and ears just because you're desperate for someone to tolerate your presence

If you get caught having associated with dicey characters, don't lie and squeal and try to cover your ass. Have some honor and own your past mistakes

One of the things that sticks out about this situation to me is how fucking awful all of ILJ's little orbiters are as people.
