Bert trained his boys in the art of simpery. I can't speak to Bob's ideas on non-consecrated churches (which sound like a bigger oxymoron than Microsoft Works) but as far as I know all churches are built on holy ground and are all sanctified. I've also never heard of a parish having a church that was not able to hold Mass. @Marshal Mannerheim want to chime in? You're probably more knowledgeable on this subject than I am.

Now as for his comment about Catholic schools being liberalized and not 100% following doctrine, I can personally confirm. Powerlevel, but I was in a Catholic school for 3 years (K-2nd). I was pulled out and put in public for a few reasons, but chief among them was the lack of requirement to attend Confession before First Communion AND that they shifted the responsibility for the First Communion on the parents instead of having the class all get it together.

I swear everything this guy knows about film is just fucking wrong. The reason "giant screens" are used is because it gets the lighting dead on along with reflections - ie you don't need to cgi fucking glass or the actors eyeballs.

Same thing with his "early days of film" bit. Contrary to what Robert thinks, most early films were very much shoot fast write the story later affairs. It wasn't the least bit uncommon for a film to be shot in a single day (keep in mind that 90+ minute features came later). The big issue for early movies were costs, not equipment being too delicate. Most of that early gear was built like a tank.

The last public board I saw has mandatory critical race theory classes for staff (even the janitors and contractors, I may have whined about that before since I tend to browse the Farms during the Zoom lectures), has renamed a dozen schools because the people they were named for are now problematic, and has nonbinary bathrooms.

The Catholic board has mandatory CRT, has renamed two schools (only have 1/5 the total schools though) and doesn't have the enby shitters yet - but they haven't ruled it out as of the last board meeting I remember.

To rip off a political line, Catholic boards are public boards with a speed limit.
