DSP's machine should be good enough for capturing but he's using the wrong terminology. Or lying. Shocked face. He says his machine isn't good enough for streaming. I'm not sure what external capture card he's using, but I'm reasonably confident that even his grandfather tech processes on the external device.
All his machine has to do is take the input signal and rebroadcast it. Minimal processing and load on the CPU. I'd guess about 10-15%% max on his? But he's also recording the input locally, at the same time, on a 3 year old version of OBS where the settings are almost definitely wrong. In theory a mid-range i5 should be good enough for 1080 with no GPU.
Hard drive can play a role in it. He's on a 7 year old mechanical hard drive that will never have been defragged and is possibly a 54000 rpm? It's got to be begging for death. If there's a bottleneck writing to it that could cause issues with the CPU and RAM.
I'd think he would get a massive performance increase by updating OBS and defragging the hard drive. Or not capturing, then editing the YouTube stream as no one watches his videos anyway.
I just did a test capture on my desktop at 4k with a 6 year old hex core i7 capturing . CPU was under 40% the entire time. Dropped to 1080 and the CPU hit 20% max. It's not the computer, it's the idiot using it.

He cancelled DSP tries it out of laziness. He has to blawk out some time, prop his phone up, and cut a video. For the longest time he was adamant that it was never coming back because he is allergic to even this level of effort. But Feasting with the Kang is him simply stuffing food into his face on stream which is easier than limiting his pigging out off camera which itself was easier than making DSP tries it. So he found a way to sort of bring it back by becoming even lazier than what he was doing after being too lazy to do DSP tries it.
Who says phil can't be clever about certain things.

So there was never any benefit to it, just like his new stupid chair that he paid too much for.
Oh he can, except, like you say, he gets lazier, which is what kills his streams. Truly clever people put in more effort, and get more out of it.
Phil doesn't seem to realize, or just stubbornly doesn't care, that he cannot afford to continue this path. He has to relent on something, keeping everything the same is going to wind up stripping him of everything he prizes. Question is: Does he truly prize his laziness and his spoiled nature above his big boy house and his fake wife? I think he just might. I think he will fail to enact any self-preservation. He's already at a point where it's time to do so, and yet here he is, being even more DSP about everything. By the fucking day.

If his "afterdepartnering-Stream" is any hint he is not willing to change. He said and I quote:"I don't want to see significant changes". Right after Twitch kicked him out. Dude, if that were me I would have immediately thought "god damn what can I do? What should be the next goal?" But DSP? No sir he doesn't want to see changes. And most likely no income changes from basically sucking at games for a few hours.. He doesn't even play much he talsk more then anything
Just a few things Phil said during flight sim for my autistic breakdown this time:

It seems like a case of classic Phil having his expectations of what a flight simulator should be despite never really playing them before and being upset when a flight simulator game literally has flight simulator in the title, simulates the nuances of flight and aviation.
He's complaining about lack of waypoints, and even said the simulator shouldn't be so much of a simulator instead focusing on people who just want to view scenery. Seemed surprised that a flight sim has low detail textures when viewed close up, the devs thought you'd be flying over at like 2500 ft ( a common altitude for VFR (visual flight rules) flying)) You still need a plan for what you're going to do though, you can't even ask for takeoff clearence from the tower stating stuff like "well I'll just fly around for a little bit, maybe do toronto later if Derich keeps pestering me"
I actually get a kick out of doing CAT III ILS landings where you can't see a thing and have to rely solely on avionic instruments and panels in the aircraft here's a video demonstrating that. A lot of simmers do when they're training for the IMC rating (the thing you need to be certified to fly at night and at low visibility) because its a lot safer in a simulation. When you do some real life training they actually make you wear a hood that purposefully limits your view so you only focus on the instruments.
It seems like Phil has one as well.

The main differences are:
1) The food does not have to be widely available. This was a rule for DSP Tries It because it was meant to be a review series and what good is a review for some local restaurant none of your fans will be able to go to? He dropped this rule with the Indian place, hence the need for a new series.
2) He doesn't actually review the food. He just moans and groans about how robust and flavorful it is. In DSP Tries It he reviewed the product and would give it a rating.
3) DSP tries it were always pre-recorded segments. When he brought them back on livestreams he would make cuts to the recording and record the video live, largely ignoring chat. It was awkward to watch him pretend he wasn't livestreaming. Feasting with the King is more like a live Mukbang.
4) After he reviewed the food for DSP Tries It he would scurry away downstairs to finish the food off camera to get out of having to actually work (since live DSP Tries It were always part of a marathon). In the old DSP Tries It he only took a bite or two and didn't record himself eating the whole thing. Feasting with the King treats us to all the disgusting sights and sounds of Dave eating his entire meal.

As someone who watches a lot of flight sim stuff, the best shit is the combination of real people simming as ATC and real people simming as aircraft. Like when ATC gives taxi instructions and the pilot has to read them back, it's like ASMR imo.
Phil on the other hand is like flying a jet in Battlefield 2 but ten billion times more slow and boring.

Are we 100% certain that mod list is for YouTube and not Twitch? It still has Timbo has a mod, which is why I ask.

Pretty sure this is the Twitch mod list. I don't think you can access a mod list on YouTube unless they are actually in chat.
