You don’t seem to understand how prosecutors work. And how damning this situation is for Chris. No prosecutor is going to accept “the dementia suffering old lady asked for it” as a defense or excuse. Even if she did ask for it the adult child is not supposed to provide it. You don’t do that. It’s a rather core Right from Wrong thing. The prosecution will not even entertain a thought that this is Barb’s fault, beyond her obvious failings as a mother in the case of Chris.

They are going to toss Chris’s life. Because what seems to have happened here is horrifying of an elderly person. And Heaven help Chris if they find anymore baggage on his computers. Even if he could be viewed as incompetant to stand trial, that doesn’t get him out. He is a retarded sexual Abuser. He does not know right from wrong with regard to sex. They’re not going to cut him loose. He will end up in some sort of heavily supervised managed mental health facility where he is never left alone with female patients or staff until the day he dies.

and it is sad. He is clearly such a fucked up retard. If he had been given help at a young age he could have lived out his days happily playing with his Ponies and drawing Sonichu comics in a nice group home. But he went and fucked his elderly mother. That’s a bit of a game changer.

Barb won't have any say in how the system handles it, probably. If there's credible evidence against Chris, the first thing they'll do is assign a guardian ad litem to Barb. Assuming everything that's being claimed is true, the GAL probably recommends a full order of protection against Chris, and moving Barb into an elder care facility since she can't take care of herself and 14 BLC isn't fit for human habitation. The care facility would probably take ownership of the house (if Chris isn't on the deed, last time I looked he wasn't) and use that and whatever SS/Medicare she gets as payment.

If they file charges, Chris is probably sent to inpatient facility for 6 months to determine if he's fit to stand trial. Who know where it goes from there. If they decide it's not worth it to file, Chris just ends up homeless, living off the tugboat, and unable to contact Barb. That's probably the best outcome he can expect.

Honestly, unless you can show me what the laws on that are in the state of Virginia, I don't think it's going to happen. Maybe if it was California, but in Virginia probably not.

I don't think Chris has ever been able to officially change his gender on his state ID either.
