I don't know, Suisei's cover comes really damn close to channeling the emotional weight of Towa's original.

Suisei's cover reminds me of those near perfect mimic type cover singers who throw in a lil of their own flair at the end or during a chorus.

Kanata's deep voice matches the sound of the original but somehow doesn't have the same emotional impact.

I think the reason why Suisei's is close is because she's into Vtubing for the music and if she can almost hit the same kind of impact, its a major win for her. Everyone else, its just a cover of a song. To Suisei, its a mission to replicate it and then apply it to her future songs/singing projects (pretty sure that's sign of a suiciopath but we all know the comet is a lil crazy in the headcase). But this is all just my personal opinion and I am in no way qualified to professionaly judge Vtubers who have actual training and more talent than I.

Cover song usually the artist/singer take on the song. Westlife probably the best in doing so with their modern take on a lot of old songs. Try to replicate will have the diminishing return on your audience vs try to invent a new way. Just like how IRyS almost kill the original “Renai Circulation” by HanaKana, Suisei would get really far if she try to invent a new way of singing those cover songs and find her own style (I believe she already did with “Next Color Planet”). Suisei doesn’t have to chase someone else style, but she’s a Suicopath so …)

Nope, that's not how it works haha. Comments were disabled on the video. Its something the uploader can choose to do and it's for everyone, not just specific people.

But anyways, comments are enabled again on the video. So whatever she didn't want people to see has most likely been removed.
