Jesus. That shit seems like a lifetime ago now. Anyway, I thought the whole 8chan CP thing was a honeypot from some anti-GamerGater, ToddInTheShadows, maybe? So long ago I can't remember, but I thought whoever they were even admitted what they were doing on one of their sooper-sekret discords.

IIRC whatever was posted was removed as soon as it came to HotWheels' attention, I'd like to see evidence of anyone defending it. (Might be wrong, it has been a while.) People forget 8Chan was like Reddit where you could set up your own sub-board. And what this person did was set up a subboard with a nondescriptive name and posted the images to that. THEN reported it. It wasn't like it was appearing on 8Chan's version of /pol/ or /b/ or whatever, next to no one even saw the images. (I didn't.)

The final irony of the whole thing is that the 2D shit posted while probably legal under American law is very much illegal under Canadian law, which was where whoever was running this was found to be living. Or so it was claimed, or at any rate my how my faulty memory recalls the whole kerfuffle.

edit: I could have sworn it was all 2D, no photos. That part, if true, is news to me.

Gamergate people CP bombed it at one point in a gay op but he's talking about the pedophile boards 8chan had where pedos would go and talk about being pedos and post non-pornographic pictures of children and pedo erotica.

It was all legal but very distasteful and if I remember right Josh walked back some of his free speech absolutism after having to deal with those people.

Also fuck off people on Twitter and there are a lot of them who ask what KF is. Google is a thing and I'm sure they used it. They only ask what we are as some sort of fake innocence virtue signaling.
