There are streamers that literally continue to grow despite streaming Ocarina of Time every day, yet DSP and his 12 year legacy is reliant on new games to bring viewers.

I love that even DSP thinks that it's the games that bring the money, not the streamer.
One thing that we detractors many times don't remember due to not empathizing with Phil (which, granted, is pretty hard to do), is that the world appears to Phil very differently from what we see.

To us, we see that Phil is a shitty streamer whose career is carried by no more than 10 different people, and that those people don't really care about what Phil does.

However, Phil actually is rewarded when he plays variety, and he does get more money because of day-one views.

Yes, it's money from the same people. Yes, he could still make that money playing anything else and begging extra hard.

But my point is that, from Phil's point of view, he sees people actually loving his "new streams" (because remember, money = love to Phil). So in his mind, when a game isn't performing well and then he plays a new game and gets loads of money, his mind doesn't register that it was money from the same retarded whales, it just registers "NEW GAME = MONEY = GOOD".

I love this. Mainly because it doesn't make any sense at all. Here:

$0

Guys, if you can give me money, please, so this number gets to $100. No, you can't know the reason or where the money is going. You should mind your own business, AKA changing this random number on your screen. TIP ME

His viewers are responsible when it come to "saving his house" and putting food in his fridge so he can survive. However, don't you fucking dare ask him about how and where the money will be spent because that is his own private life.

Don't you dare do math to add up what I'm making. Anyone who questions that $100,000+ for 2 people with no hobbies is just a troll.

So what?
Hey, remember when Phil did anything? It has been months since anything happened. It's over.
Aaaand the usual circlejerk of guys jumps to comment.
Hey actually, werent you to retire from here? Oh wait, you are the same as KG and will be here after null gets caught at the next border for pizza.
Just like daves chat, this is a ghost town on loop. Talk about oic some more.
Eat 15 dicks, my dude.
Yes OIC gets a bit much attention for my taste as well, but there's this thing you can do when you don't like a post:
Scroll past it.
DSP will make sure we have something to mock him over for years to come, don't you worry.

Maybe I'm giving Philup too much credit saying this, but I think deep down he knows he has nothing to offer.
He adds nothing of value to any playthrough he does, that's why he's always about those DAY ONE VIEWS, DAY ONE INFLATED VIEWS.
While he can use that as a shield against criticism, because it's the game's fault if the stream sucks and not his, it's also quite a sad thought to come to terms with.

TL;DR: DSP is a hack fraud at what he does ("This shawcks me!") and to some degree, he knows. Maybe.

Then he explained that he would not lower the goal this week because he wants to "rally" and "motivate" people into hitting it, and doesn't care if they don't. Not hitting it will be a "learning experience".

I won't comment on the cult-like "You deserve to fail for not helping me" mentality, but thinking lowering the goal isn't motivating speaks a lot to his stupidity and laziness.

The entire concept of a goal is that reaching it gives you something, but if your odds of hitting it are nil, the reward no longer matters because you won't get it no matter what it is. That's why the goal should never be too far away from what currently is.

And what does it even cost Phil to lower it to 200 right now for some dumb reward, then immediately increase the goal back to 250 with another dumb reward ? It's really hard to comprehend how lazy this man is.

You can't ask him why he needs money because you're "not even contributing". Then, if you give him $10 and ask again he will say that it's his money now and you should stop asking that because it's "rude" (yes, he said that), and it's not your fucking business.

Keep in mind that he's just a normal guy that don't deserve all the hate he gets.

he could sell them (if he didnt pawn them off already)
According to what Phil told us recently, he "got rid of it (his statues) when he declared bankruptcy". I don't know what he meant with this, because it's not clear if he sold them, hide them or just threw them in the dump so the government would not get them from him. Who knows at this point...

Never heard that bit really interesting. I have a feeling after that first fake email about them he's just saying that to keep detractors from asking about them.

he still had that box of games that "he never got to or wanted to play" so i wont be surprised

Probably dumped them. Anything else would take effort and communication.

I'm a boomer so I hadn't really watched many YouTubes or Twitches, but I'm surprised DSP hasn't taken shots at MoistCritikal considering Charlie has adopted Phil's entire pre-Twitch personality and low effort presentation, discarded all the racism and getting overly upset about trolls, and is pushing like 10k viewers to watch him fuck off in a Guilty Gear Strive lobby watching other people play for hours at 1 am and has sponsorship deals and doesn't have to slave away exhaustively at an autistic schedule keeping up with new release games.

DSP actually playing Danganronpa is funny to me because the game makes fun of “gamers” like him:

Take your bets, people.
How long will Dave stay in training mode to "relearn the character because he didn't have time to play the game last week (but he TOTALLY loves the game by the way)"?
15 minutes? 30 minutes? 60 minutes?
