So Dave just complained about his membership numbers stagnating/dropping, citing one reason as because there isn't much going on in terms of "new games" to entice viewers to support. Couple issues:

1) It was noted that he was on the front page of YouTube stream discovery for the new ratchet and clank game, and the amount of new members for that game has been absolutely atrocious so far (off my memory like less than 10, maybe even less than 5).

2) He literally JUST SAID a day ago that he has no intention to pull new viewers, but to maintain a core audience. This is completely at odds with the way that recurring subscription models work. The only way this works is with that gifted membership shit which I hope is never implemented.

How he comes to these dumbass conclusions I'll never know.

I really REALLY hope there will be no gifting on yt. I always thought that is a very stupid thing, but I know... its all about the money for twitch. They know there are idiots who would buy these to increase the streamers epeen.

Someone asked Phil to lower the Membership Goal to 200. Phil responded that he ALMOST managed to hit 250, reaching 190, but all of a sudden 40 of them expired. He then blamed that on the lack of interesting new game releases this month. Then he explained that he would not lower the goal this week because he wants to "rally" and "motivate" people into hitting it, and doesn't care if they don't. Not hitting it will be a "learning experience".
We all know what the reasonable goals are for you, Phil, you just refuse to acknowledge the fact that 90% of your Twitch subs were gifted.

I really want someone to make a big compilation video of his "cargo cult" rants. It's easily one of the funniest things he does. "Oh, no one donated. This must be a game people want for a chill stream/night stream" etc. It is never because he's not entertaining, or anything else. It must be the game. It must be the weapon I was using. It must be that I'm playing it at the wrong time.

That's the only 'learning experience' that can be gotten from this.

we will join a morning stream with dsp suddenly having 250 members made from socks
 
There are streamers that literally continue to grow despite streaming Ocarina of Time every day, yet DSP and his 12 year legacy is reliant on new games to bring viewers.

I love that even DSP thinks that it's the games that bring the money, not the streamer.

No he's reliant on fucking up IRL to bring in new viewers. Every pop for the past few years has been due to one of his personal failures. Nobody gives a shit about games.

He seems to be starting to talk earlier from the restreams I've caught. Dude legit used to go about 45 minutes before even making them jowls move. Things still seem to be back to normal with those 2hr prestreams though. Dave's a morahn. Remember he is an honest professional video game variety streamer.

Remember when the pre-streams were going to be shorter. 😪 He dosent even have bits and the leaderboard to shoutout anymore, yet he keeps blowing hot air. I'd rather watch a 4 hour day podcast, with games at night. I know most would disagree, but I believe the value of goldust would triple.

Remember the huge boost he got after being departnered? Hundreds of people solely interested in seeing how big of a jackass he was being about it. The only bump in viewership he'd gotten since the last dipshit thing he did.

But there are also times he thinks they don't matter and it's the personality and the community. It's just whatever fits whatever point he's trying to make at the time. The reality is after 12 years Phil has no idea why people watch, how to get more people to watch, or why people stop watching.
 
I'm gonna go all in and say DSP won't get his green screen, laptop, computer, xbox and gaming sofa this year. When he does a how the year 2021 has been so far, around Thanksgiving and or Christmas he will blame Twitch for not being able to upgrade like hes promised and thus the cycle continues for 2022.
 
I'm just puzzled as to why it being warm outside would force him to cook with a microwave instead of an actual oven, any lore-masters around who could enlighten me as to why he's being this autistic? Clearly I'm not mature enough to understand.
