Oh hey a thread to get me out of lurking. Korps have been a known abusive cult for a long time inside the community. There's a long long history of this kind of horny hypnosis cult though. Most don't go as far as Korps but there's a few very notorious ones. Some other notorious ones are Hex Corp and Galactic CORE.

Hex Corp I remember watching from its infancy - it's more into the Dronification zone rather than hypnotism, and it's a bit dead at the moment due to a lack of interest in, essentially, discarding over thousands of dollars in art in exchange for a number and the popularity faded once they were completely forgotten rather than missed.
I actually did some digging after first noticing this thread to see if there was any relation apart from the goggles, but it seems to be coincidence/a minor ripoff.
