Nothing they build is made to last. It's fine if you want to throw together a little tent because you don't have any supplies at hand and will build something better after you go to town, but they seem genuinely proud of it. ???

A tarp? A fucking tarp? For those not familiar with high desert environments, they're pretty well known for high winds, especially if you're on the leeward side of a larger mountain.

As someone said above, that shelter will collapse in a stiff breeze, to say nothing of 40-50 mph gusts during a windstorm.
High desert be dammed, I wouldn't call that a shelter in rural France or the rainforests of Borneo. Unless you have just survived a plane crash and the choppers are still 18 hours out.

OMG! Colorado is run by biggots who won't recognise their femm-penis, treat them like real women and give them needles so they can shoot up estrogen like regular normal women.

Those poor lambs. Though it may sound cruel, they're better off as mutton. Dumbasses at Stink Ditch Tranch would probably let them die off, making their lives meaningless

It's not as if we need more proof that troons can't farm, but here's more proof that troons can't farm. From a tweet a couple of days ago:

Now for comparison, here's a video from a New Zealand sheep shearing contest where the pros are consistently taking about 30 seconds per sheep

Ok that's beyond what any normal person could manage, but here's a nice step by step guide. A couple of choice quotes:

"An expert shearer can shear a sheep in five minutes or less, which works out to about one hundred sheep per day." Ok we know they're not experts, but they should be able to do the dozen or so sheep they have in a couple of hours. Unless a couple of hours is a full troon working day. After all they've posted before about how they get stressed when doing anything that approaches a full day's work.

"Not immediately after lambing: You must never try to shear your ewe 8 to 12 weeks after lambing because the milk veins are swollen and there is a higher risk of damaging them while shearing." Whoops

I somehow doubt that they can even find a place clear of shit and mud to do it. If you've ever wanted to know the source of that "organic matter" in the final product.

And one of the replies to that tweet asks

Please let it happen.

My favorite part is the excess tarp just bundled off to the side like a messy ponytail. About the same amount of effort.

If you’re going to use a tarp, stake that shit. Wood is expensive, sure, but the thing doesn’t even need walls, just chicken wire if you’re using it as an enclosure too. Do some basic framing and put corrugated roof decking on top. Either galvanized light gage steel or plastic. You’ve gotta pour concrete around the posts and use actual hardware, but it won’t be at risk if collapsing.

Hell, Custer County doesn’t even require a permit for accessory buildings under 100sqft floor area or 120sqft roof projection, so there wouldn’t even be any paperwork.

I notice we haven't gotten any updates on the earthship property in a bit. Is it not turning out to be the luxury dacha for the Troon party elite they hoped it would be? The county property records still aren't showing a sale. I'm interested to know what they paid for it.
