One of my favourite (plausible) Conspiracy Theories is that Joe Biden has had a small audio receiver implanted behind his ear. There was a period where he suddenly disappeared from view in the run up to the 2020 elections and his performance suddenly improved - kind of. He started speaking more coherently but there was always these odd delays before he answered. Sure - it could just be drugs and dementia but honestly, the tech is more than available to do this and the suggestion that the DNC couldn't get it done if they thought it would be useful (and it would be - obviously) is absurd.

I reckon the times when he just goes to pieces are the times when for one reason or another, they can't transmit. Or maybe they had to remove it again, who knows. But there is literally nothing difficult about this for someone with the money and the desire to do so. Nor is it even a big health risk. Bone-conducting headsets are easily available. You can buy a pair for $40 and they work.

FWIW, during the debates, there was talk of having both Trump and Biden checked for ear pieces, as Trump (or his team?) were sure Biden was going to cheat. Bidens team said no, it was trump who is wearing an ear piece. Bidens team were so convinced Trump was wearing an ear piece, that they flat-our refused to allow either candidate to be checked for an ear piece...

From what I have read, that is standard protocol. It is the same way in a court case if a piece of evidence has its chain of custody lost, you toss out the evidence because you cannot verify if it was tampered with somewhere down the line.
