So, the other day I was listening to a NYT podcast that had an episode on racial impostors (
The Native Scholar Who Wasn't, it's also available as a print article if that's more your speed). As you might expect they didn't bring up the obvious comparisons between these racial impostors and trannies, but it really was the sort of thing that should make you thunk if you haven't closed your mind to any questioning of the TRANSWO-MEN ARE WOMEN! mantra.
But one thing that got to me
and I really hope that this doesn't start a bunch of terf sperging, was something that they said about why these grifters are able to get away with it for so long. It's because even while some activists recognize them for what they are and try to call them out, until white people start to notice and care about a specific case of this nothing ever comes of it. And white people almost never call out the ones who pretend to be native/aboriginal/indigenous peoples.
They discussed some of the reasons that white people don't join in the call-outs very often, and they hit on
some causes that were reasonable. Native heritage is such a complicated thing (more complicated, or at least complicated in a
different way than white/black/Asian heritage) that white people don't understand who is a grifter and who isn't. Native peoples have less visibility in mainstream white culture than black/Asian peoples. And just generally white people aren't invested in an issue that is kind of fringe
and only affects another race. Those are all totally reasonable reasons that could lead to white people not jumping into the debate. But they didn't talk about the one issue that seemed the most significant to me and I suspect it's because it puts a big part of the blame on non-white activists. The issue is that these grifters always have a ton of people in the communities they've infiltrated
backing them up and if a white person were to say, "hey, wait a minute. This Shaun King guy is obviously not black, he just has a black hairstyle" then his black friends will all jump down their throat and accuse them of trying to police blackness and say that they're a white supremacist trying to divide the black community.
And as much as I love our terfy friends (look at my username!), it annoys me when they say that men are being complicit in the TiM infiltration of women's spaces and that we need to step up and join the fight against it. We should, but whenever a man does, look at the people who are
always first in line to go after him for being a patriarchal shitlord. It's always women, that's why terfs have the term "handmaiden", because while some women are unbelievably based on the issue of troons other women are the most vicious quislings.
I don't know what about my posts on this thread would make you think I regard him as anything other than a man, or why you're being so autistically pedantic about this, but if it'll dry your arse I'll take
@brainlent 's advice and use surnames in future.
OK, but what about when the also choose pornstar last names and you don't know their real name?
I would like to add that women hardly every refer to their clitoris. If they do, it s a 'clitoris' or 'clit'. The word is never, ever, ever 'clitty'. Just typing the word makes me feel a bit greasy. Any transwoman using that word clearly does not wish to pass.
I still don't understand why troons have latched onto the word "clitty". As far as I know it's not a word that has ever been used by a real woman and is therefore just one more tell, and it's not as if "clitty" is some sort of weasel word that allows them to get away with calling their dicks clits without lying. It's just a weird affectation that troons picked up and I'm really not sure what the genesis is.
I have never heard of a woman describing any parts of her anatomy as a cumrag outside of maybe porn. That’s not even a males view of women, but specifically a deeply misogynistic mans view of women.
I tried to figure out what he means, and the best I can think of is that he uses a pink cumsock and (probably facetiously) thinks that pink stuff makes him a woman.
