Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? I'm unwilling to descend too deep into speculation here for a variety of reasons, but the big reason they'd be shy of offing Biden like Kennedy was is that there are too many cameras now. Such actions require as much of a blackout as possible, as little information as possible. Additionally, it needs to get the Secret Service at least nominally on board and when the person replacing Biden is Kamala.... thats gonna be a hard sell.

It could be opportunists and criminals, or it could be a veiled warning from Russia that any conventional attack will be met by asymmetrical attacks targeting our civilian infrastructure. It could even be both of those things at once, they're not contradictory scenarios. I think it more likely than not that there is at least passive control over these groups by state actors. The really crazy scenario is that it's Russians hired -with or without their knowledge- by the Chinese.

The ransomware attacks are nothing new. There were a number of attacks on hospitals in the second half of last year. They're just making a big show of this so they can point fingers at Russia.

A couple of NHS trusts got walloped with these same ransomware attacks last year. Took them months to recover because their IT systems are shit. There was also a UK.gov scientific agency that got attacked, but all of the data that the ransomers threatened to release were publicly funded, so they just released it themselves,and then nuked/paved their IT systems and restored from backups..

They want Trump gone but every month he's more and more right and Biden would be very smart to get ahead and steal Trump's demand for 10 trillion reparations as well as forgiving our debt with them. He won't, which will make it even easier for Trump or Desantis in '24.
