Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Fun fact: Couple of years back some European company with offices in Moscow demanded they send some employees to some kind of gay corporate team building thing. Obviously no one wanted to go, so the Moscow branch declared that the lowest performing employees that quarter are to be sacrificed, er, sent to the gay retreat. That was a good boost to productivity.

It was the single hardest press by the media to ensure people took Biden seriously, it's the keystone to the lie the most important piece.

Him leaving early -destroys- that. It's a massive hole in the lie, unrecoverably bad. It will instantly make a lot of converts against the media, destroy any last vestiges of credibility even on the left, turn all sentiment to Kamala into outright hostility, and just generally nuke the administration from orbit. It's the big lie, the keystone. If it falls, everything falls. They -need- people to believe Biden is fit and healthy lest the moderates and even more center Democrats turn against them en masse. Which means he must serve a full term, he -has- to.

You are assuming their ouster of him would be along legal, normal means though.
When LBJ wanted the top job he didn't wait around for the DNC to dig up some dirt on Kennedy.

Probably has the same problem. The public was assured Biden was healthy and him Keeling over probably won't be good for credibility.

A little late, Biden administration. You already allowed your private industry to pay the ransom to the hostage taker. Pack it up, it's over for at least a while.
