Donald Trump has permanently shut down the website he used to get around his social media ban and where he posts his statements after just 29 days because it was mocked as a flop.

'From the Desk of Donald J. Trump' has been scrubbed from the former president's website and instead the URL redirects users to a page to sign up for his email and text alerts.

Senior Trump aide Jason Miller that the site 'will not be returning.'

'It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,' he added.

The site was set up amid the former president being banned from social media sites like Twitter and Facebook following the January 6 Capitol riot. The site, however, received criticism from those who claimed it was a sad excuse for an alternative to these other platforms.

A Trump adviser that the former president shut it down because he didn't like that the site was being mocked and not garnering a large readership.

A GOP strategist, however, predicted on Twitter that it being shut down is just 'a precursor to him joining another social media platform?'

'Yes, actually, it is. Stay tuned!' Miller confirmed in a response to the post.

Trump promised after being booted from his accounts that he would set up his own social media site, which he insists is different from the 'desk' blog.

Miller claimed he is 'hoping to have more information on the broader efforts soon' regarding the new social media site.

'I do not have a precise awareness of timing,' he said.

Trump unveiled his new blog last month billed as a 'communication platform' for the former president to interact more directly with supporters and the public after losing his access to other platforms.

A Twitter account set up to repost those statements verbatim was immediately shut down by CEO Jack Dorsey. The 'desk' site, however, also gave visitors the ability to easily share the statements for themselves onto social media platforms.

Due to Trump's messaging for a new social media platform, many felt this new website was him unveiling that.

A GOP strategist predicted the site getting shut down is a preview for the former president 'joining another social media platform,' to which Miller confirmed 'Yes, actually, it is. Stay tuned!'

He and his team pushed back against this, however, claiming it was just a way to pump out his statements, which were also sent out through the email account for his Save America political action committee.

Miller said at the time in his own Twitter post that the 'Desk' page was 'a great resource' to find Trump's statements.

He clarified 'this is not a new social media platform.'

Wait, it got any kind of attention? I mean I knew it would crash and burn, but mostly because Trump stopped being relevant outside of sites like this, Reddit, Twitter and Qtard sperging places. Not because people were mocking him as well.

Wonder if that means he's joining Gab now, where he'll be even more irrelevant.

Let me guess, his webhost "canceled" him out of fear that Antifags would spam their servers. With Molotovs and digestive products.

Besides if anyone wants someone to mock, Joe Biden is the new hotness. Face it America, you're never having a conservative president ever again.

So you made your headline appear as though Trump could be quoted as saying the reason was because it was being mocked but not only did you not supply any such quote you fucked up the sentence where you fabricate a source who claimed Trump did not like something.

So not a quote.
Not a second hand quote.
Just that an anonymous source thought Trump might not have liked something.

Okay. This is poor even for The Daily Mail.

Journoscum have no ethics.

Of course his site wasn't getting any attention, it was a glorified blog. When people heard he was going to make his own website/social-media platform, they instantly think Facebook/Twitter/Reddit/etc with the added bonus of freeze peach. What we got instead was current year's equivalent of a Live Journal that also wanted your personal information if you decided to register an account on it.

To say his site is/was a disappointment is a big understatement.

Random thought inspired by this article- the journos are probably just as angry as Trump that he got booted off of Twitter. Without the evil tweets of ex-President Drumpf to fill your daily quota, the leading dailies and cable networks of the nation might, God forbid, have to report on actual news.

To be fair, we haven't had a conservative president since Grover Cleveland, if you use the Southern definition of "conservative" .

They're mocking him for this, but we all know they want him back. Trump gives them a reason to live. The only reason they have to live at this moment.

What's the more likely outcome? That Trump gave a shit that people mocked it, or he was more upset that it was cumbersome to use on the toilet?

I will never understand why people feel the need for social media so damn bad.

People wanted to see Trump shit, but apparently when it is done as a blog they are disappointed?

Like, his haters and fans do realize he never read a single one of their butthurt/thirsty replies, right?

I like when journalist just straight up put their own deranged ideas as quotes. Rent Free.

I heard hes joining some alt right fascist twitter competitor
