Ladies and gents, I present to you, the wonderful Eldena Doubleca5t. He's been mentioned a few times in this thread.
He's a YouTuber, mostly known for his short lived "When Posting Goes Wrong" series and fandom shipping videos, as well as miscellaneous gaming shit.
He was a cross dresser before troon ing out, apparent if you look at his videos posted in the last few years.

I noticed the red, skinned out area from her thighs. Perhaps she does have a phalloplasty.. but the whole thing seems very sus otherwise. Because a scar that large would result in a coke can bulge and comedically sized corndogs we see in many FtMs. And assuming she had top surgeries, WHY are there still a lot of boobs left....? This isn't directly related to tranny shit but it gave me some insight on why men will support movements like this. Sometimes it honestly amazes me how fickle and weak willed men are. There's a huge thread on 4chan right now where hundreds of men are talking about how radfems are based. You know, the same guys who talk about how all women are whores. Why this sudden change, you may ask? Well, they found one (1) hot TERF on Twitter. Literally all it took was a nice pair of titties for them to completely change their opinion of women. They don't give a shit about trannies in women's spaces. They don't give a shit about women being abused or raped. All they care about is their penis, and now suddenly when someone who makes their penis hard is a TERF they all suddenly care about the aforementioned things. Hell, you could probably get hundreds of men to believe that the Earth is flat if you got some cute loli egirl to spout Alex Jones propaganda and wear "flat chest" pun shirts.
Ironically, they have the same exact attitude about trannies. They'll talk about how they want to curbstomp all of them but then someone will post an emaciated homo in a schoolgirl outfit and watch them start drooling like a bunch of rabid dogs. It all boils down to "I hate degeneracy, but only the specific type of degeneracy that doesn't make my dick hard." When men say "one of the good ones", what they really mean is "one of the hot ones." Notice how everyone knows who Blaire White is, but no one knows about Rose Of Dawn, Debbie Hayton, Miranda Yardley or any other GC trannies. Do you really this thread would exist if all trannies looked like cute girls? This is why it's never going to end.

‘When Posting Goes Wrong’ series was quite entertaining. I remember checking the author’s page, seeing a statement about not being trans but a simple crossdresser, and thinking, ‘Ah, just a good old transvestite. What a breath of fresh air now that wearing a dress calls for a change in gender identity.’ That did not last long.
I watched the video, and the reasons for being an MtF are due to yuri and female-centric fiction overdose, exactly how some FtMs are that way due to ingesting too much yaoi and male-centric fiction. Half of the ifs could be ended with ‘you might be a straight male’.

Over the various HER app dumps I've noticed an overrepresentation of trannies identifying as Libra (5 out of 9, in this particular case). Maybe it's selection bias of some kind or maybe they tend to lie about their sun signs--I don't know, I just find it funny/curious

The interests and goals of someone like Eldena Doubleca5t, who makes zero attempt to pass and looks like a caricature (litteral dude-with-wig) or Avok the "non-binary icon" are in direct conflict with the ones of someone who's whole point is that they can be perceived as a woman in many contexts.

Not necessarily. Weebs have a concept called ‘gap moe’, referring to how a discrepancy between expected and actual may be very cute. For example, when a little kid tries to talk like a professor, that is cute. Or, when a scary burly man knits mittens, that is cute.
Nonbinaries and genderqueers like Alok Vaid-Menon are a whole another issue. Progressive binary transgenders do not mind having them around under the ‘trans’ umbrella and likely do not feel as if they are worsening the image of binary MtFs and FtMs.

This is not the point at all. Contra is nowhere close to passing as cis, sure.
But some are: short skinny men with soft faces who happen to be early transitioners do exist. Take my word for it. Think Hunter Schafer, the Sense8 one, other high fashion troons. Some who just look a little weird, or totally sound like gay guys, but if they shut up and are dressed they do pass . It's not many but it's not nobody.
Weither you pass as a cis woman or you pass as a "i know something's up but i don't know what so i am gonna flip a coin and go with Miss" are two different things but it's a talk for another day.
But Contra for exemple tries: The surgeries, hair removal, choice of clothing, voice training... it's work. It's painfull, it takes time, ressources... And then you have others who just don't try and don't plan to ever try . It's two very different ways ofgoing at it. Some want to assimilate, some just want to look everyday like they are about to Do The Time Wrap Agaaain. Yes i wouldn't be surprised if there was conflict bubbling under the surface between the two.
Alok does make transwomen look bad, and some are lucid enough to see it. He looks like a dude in lipstick who had to dressed himself by scavenging an exploded costume department and speaks like he is begging to be put on a list.
