It's not surprising that GLAAD, being a tranny rights organization (even though the abbreviation is for gays and lesbians) wants trooning out to be as simple and quickly available as possible. Preferably without the need of parental consent, I'm sure.

I've related this story before so I won't share it again, but I've seen several people get set up with an endo on their first visit. The criteria seem to be "they said gender, give them whatever they want." Not a single transperson I've ever known has required more than a single one hour visit and consultation with a psychiatrist they have never met before.

First visit is double plus nuts, I always thought that nothing was given until the second visit with referral requiring one or two appointments before that, at least in the zero gate-keeping US.
In a case that I've been following, for example, it was TWO (!) perfunctory appointments with some gender quack then a basic consult on first visit to the endo then three week wait to actually get T. Though I called the girl's mother, so I think her T appointment got cancelled. Lucky/Unlucky for her, I guess.
The whole process is probably the most deranged thing wrt troons & troonism, because it has very real, very immediate consequences and because it involves the connivance of so many people who should know better.
