There's an MMO, Lord of the Rings Online, that is, as it's name suggests, set in Middle Earth. It's not super well known, even inside LOTR circles I suspect but it's a hell of a game (biased).

The sex options? Male. Female. Unless you play a dwarf, in which case there is no sex option - because both sexes of dwarfs look the same, they have long beards and braids, so any sex your character has is purely in role-playing.

I play (powerlevel) on the one role-playing server but hardly anyone role-plays anymore, and those who do DO NOT ERP, trans RP, homo RP. The people who play LOTRO are HARDCORE LOTR fans (except me, I've never even read the books). The ones who RP are the hardcore of the hardcore. The autism levels in the formal RP sessions is off the charts (the friends who got me into it were into the RP so I went to a few sessions).

A trans or gay hobbit *might* be accepted, because Hobbits are laid back. An elf would be run out of Rivendell. A dwarf? Both sexes have the same bodies, so what's the point of being trans?

I realize this is a sperg about a game and not Middle Earth, and it's coming from someone who admits to not reading the books (I can't stand his writing), but given my immersion in the closest thing to Middle Earth that exists, I'm pretty sure this idiot is, well, an idiot.

I await my puzzle pieces now.

let me explain:

reddit staff is known for being very much pro tranny
reddit moderation team is known for being filled to the brim with tranny jannies
this creates a situation where "be nice to trannies, or else!" has become the law of reddit. part of it is unwritten law, part of it is openly stated in subreddit rules

so far this is all artificial and top down. but now we look at what effect such an environment has on the users?

first, those with anti tranny views either leave, get thrown out (banned) or keep their mouth shut on the issue. all have the same effect: expression of anti tranny views goes down a lot.

second, those with pro tranny views (trannies themselves and convinced leftists) are emboldened. they know that pro tranny views are officially supported and welcomed by the people who run the place. not only does this encourage more posting of pro tranny views, it also promotes these users aggressively attacking (both verbally and via downvote and report functions) any anti tranny post they might come across.

third, those with no strong opinion on the matter: they see that not a lot of anti tranny posts are made, so they assume anti tranny is a small minority position. they also see that anti tranny posts are frequently deleted and the posters banned, and they see that people dunking on anti tranny posters are encouraged. combined together this creates this view of the situation:
anti tranny = minority, powerless, outcast, criminalized, shunned
pro tranny = majority, powerful, accepted, promoted, encouraged
presented with that choice, near everyone will intuitively fall in line with the pro tranny line. this is organic, it's how people naturally act.

That's all compounded by all the children and teens on Reddit. They're 10x susceptible to that shit. There are a lot of facets to the perfect storm of troonery, but the weirdest one to me is how major I think the both natural and organized way trannies are drawn to autistic internet janny positions. Trans people are already overrepresented on the internet, and they seek moderator positions just cause it's their kind of autistic controlling shit, even excluding explicit coordination (which to be fair, we don't have much evidence of.) In these next generations of kids truly raised on the internet (pandemic accelerated), as pathetic as it is to admit (bardfinn just got off for me even saying that), internet moderators have a lot of power. They're the ones babysitting everyone's kids and being the community for awkward teens.

The jar had me rolling my eyes. Get a fucking sharps container and keep it under your bathroom sink like a normal person. Don’t put your used needles in a cutesy pickling jar. Also, you can tell these people don’t actually inject that often/only started recently. If you are using a 25g like he was using, and you use it correctly, there is no blood, and the band-aid is totally unnecessary. Waste of a bandaid tbh. Finally; when they started counting the drops they had “missed” at the end, those weren’t missed drops, the plunger was fully depressed on the syringe; they were in the dead space! That’s injection 101. They shouldn’t be making tutorials on this if they don’t know their shot.
