Am I the only one that thinks it’s weird when her daughter wakes up in the middle of the night she gives her her phone to watch? I’m not one of those “no screen time ever” people, but in the middle of the night? When a child has just woken up and needs to go back to sleep ASAP you give her Mickey Mouse cartoons to watch on the damn phone?
Real quality time would be soothing her back to sleep not palming her off on Disney phone content.

Unusual for this thread, I have good news. The reality show contestant I posted about earlier, her baby looks like he's thriving at home and the doctors have given her the all-clear to move back to Memphis, where she lived before she needed a top-flight NICU (pretty awful that Memphis doesn't have one). The baby boy still has some tubes in him but his intelligence appears near-normal for his age, he babbles and laughs, lots of photos where his eyes look very much alive and he's got a smile on his face.
IDK if this kid will ever shit not-in-a-bag or be free from tubes, but compared to the other kids on this thread, he's the next Einstein, so enjoy a before-and-after:

He looks so much more alive than these other kids. I'm glad that he's doing fine. Looks more alive than Silas or anyone else, and he might not be able to not have tubes or shit normally,but at least he'll have a better quality of life.
If you're correct, he'll be able to understand and be mentally normal. That before and after is shocking.

Seriously, thanks for posting this. He's a cute little bugger and I think it's good to be reminded that not every case is hopeless. Even if he never ends up being an astrophysicist or star quarterback, he seems aware and physically comfortable, and that makes him better off than 99% of the kids in this thread.

Actually they are worse. Even PETA would agree that putting a sick and suffering puppy to sleep and out 8d it's misery. When I worked in the NICU, dealing with the fundies, and just totally selfish attention seeking people was bad enough, but now with Facebook, all the social media platforms, and ways to get attention, not to mention go fund me and other fundraising, Is it has gotten so much worse. Fundie or not, a lot of selfish mothers ( and fathers) are more interested in getting attention than they are in these kids. The shit these people are willing to put online is disgusting, these kids get no privacy or dignity or peace. And for some reason seem to enjoy berating and badmouthing the medical professionals both blaming them for their kid being f*cked up, and for being honest about the prognosis, meanwhile the staff is traumatized in caring for these kids. I feel so damn sorry for all those nudes out there in the NICU, and PICU they work so hard and suffer so much emotionaly only to be treated like shit by these parents

If I recall, that was an issue brought up by Tinslee's nurses. Many of them asked not to be assign to Tinslee anymore because it was too much of an emotional strain/burden to take care of her day after day after day after day. Doctors and nurses take an oath to do no harm and many of them felt they were harming Tinslee simply by changing her diaper. People think medical professionals are taught to be cold, to detach and not react emotionally , but they're still human. No human likes to see another human, especially a child, suffer so needlessly and to feel like you're contributing to that suffer...I can't even imagine.

PETA routinely murders completely healthy animals. Their "shelters" have kill rates that far exceed even the worst city pounds.
For the record, this thread made me more sympathetic towards late term abortion. Unless you educate yourself you have no idea how it feels for the mother. They should be able to get those abortions but politics....

Well, she's a religious girl and I'll bet more money that she'll start grifting soon enough. Here's the thing that bugs me more than anything else - these people don't stay babies forever even if they'll only have the awareness of a infant.
In theory, these people will become babies in adult bodies. Sure, it's all fine now because they're small and easily manuvered but soon enough, they're gonna be too big to easily manage. Sure, they're "forever babies" but their bodies still mature and whatnot. They might begin menstruation and other bodily functions mature.
There was this one lady on tik tok whose daughter was disabled mentally and apparently she was getting her period and they were trying to stop it with birth control or a hysterectomy if it didn't stop. She also shaved her daughter's genital area for some reason and talked about it in dept, but I think I blocked it out.
Horrifying reality that noone wants to think about.

Sounds like the mom has some issues of her own, possibly of the variety that warrant getting hauled away in a windowless white van.

I remember it had something about the daughter's pad sticking to the pubic hair. I don't know what she was doing wrong, but that's a weird thing unless she was applying to the pad wrong. She said it was more comfortable for her daughter.
