As posted a few pages ago, literally suggesting cancelling his "dinner break" was enough for him to flip the fuck out and threaten permabans.

Zero chance DSP ever does a 24-hour marathon. Hell, he won't even do an extra half-hour for hitting the tips goals.

Phil won't admit it and constructs insane half hour prestream rants to conceal it, but I think he's just super pissed that he's basically forced to play Returnal because it's a PS5 excusive and probably didn't realize it was a roguelike until recently. Phil is a baby about dying in video games and he absolutely hates replaying content. If Phil dies in a video game and has to redo a portion of a stage he sees it as the game quite literally stealing his time and progress away from him. The very concept of rougelike progression in a video game offends his sensibilities.

In other words, it's not a question of if we'll be getting a controller slam, but when.

And of course, in typical Phil fashion, if the game is doing well with reviewers, he'll be a contrarian asshat who tries to sound intelligent, while at the same time being a fence-sitter. We'll just get a lukewarm take at the end of it all with no real substance.

I think you would have a better chance with Wings of Redemption then. I have not followed him in a long time, but my impression is that there would at least be a CHANCE WoR would do a 24-hour stream for the right price. Hell, to be fair, I would do a 24-hour stream for the right price. Give me a $1000, and I'll play a bunch of games for 24 hours. Zero chance with DSP.

of course the thin skinned narcissistic pigroachs no.1 concern is that the evil trolls would take away playtime from his fans which we all know he loves and values so much.

As much as I'd enjoy seeing 100 variations of khet got blacked by jim, nothing will ever top the Pandalee ring trolling.

The last time someone suggested a marathon to him he went on a tirade about how any of the much more successful streamers who do it are idiots compared to him because you could die!! Completely ignoring the fact that they take bathroom breaks, etc. and it isn't literally 24 hours sat in a chair.

You can tell how much DSP understands the real world if he thinks streaming video games for 24 hours will cause severe physical distress.

Never mind people that do manual hard labor for 16+ hours at a time. But no, a 24 hour stream will literally send him to the hospital.

When I was a teenager, I would play video games 16 hours straight on accident. Bad weather Saturday, nothing better to do, start up the console at like 10 am and before I knew it, it was like 4 am. But then again, I actually like video games.

This is very true. I think those trolls who talked shit to him during that Friday The 13th stream (the “is that THE GUY?” incident) a few years ago really shook him to his core. He really looked completely flabbergasted and all he could do was his awkward “uh-HUH-HUH! Listen to these fucking idiots! HAAAA HAAA ACKACKACKACK!” routine when he has absolutely nothing to retort, and knows deep, deep down that his bullshit is being laid out to his audience and he knows he can’t just ban them instantly. Trolls have much more specific things to say to Phil now besides just calling him a pig. All of the info that is out there about him gives people so many things to mention to him that he’ll find embarrassing or infuriating.

Which is why DSP is going to stream on Twitch even departnered rather than go to Youtube with its members program. DSP flat out says that the reason is because he can't moderate nearly as well. I think that's probably bullshit and he just doesn't want to learn, but even taking DSP at his word (HA!), he literally says that trolls are the reason why he can't do anything different than he currently is. Can't play multiplayer, can't play on Youtube, can't do charity, can't NOT beg for money because he lost all his sponsorships to da trollz, everything is the trolls fault.
